Yay! So glad things are working out so you can come! Sure hope you decide Murphy can come. He can sleep, eat and leisurely take potty breaks and be all ready for some tripawd fun after the ride. He'd probably be upset with you if you don't bring him if you know what I'm sayin' 😉. As long as you don't make him take his turn driving he can just snooze away 😀. Great news either way and hoping to see all three of you again!
WOW.... just great news!!! I have nothing else to add but I am sooooo excited to meet Donna and Glen now too!!! And hopefully Mr. Murphy our warrior hero!
You guys are troopers ... jetlag and a long drive..... amazing!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
I'm in the process of arranging a press photographer for pictures to accompany my piece.
Can I ask if everyone is planning to attend both days, and, if not, which day you are planning to attend?
Also, are you planning to arrive at 3pm?
It would be good if the photographer could come at a time when as many people and dogs (cats???) as possible are there, though I'm not yet sure how flexible they will be able to be.
Anyway, would be useful to know.
Many thanks,
Clare

Ahhhh....the age old question...who's coming when??
What I know for certain is every out of stater...every international..will all be there both days!! And yes, they will be there by 3:00 at the latest!!! Right Chauffeur Alison and Chauffeur Michelle? Elizabeth and I will make sure Teri and Cassie, who are staying near the Park are there too!
Off of the top of my head, I can think of ngrid (Nixon's Mom) who is planning to come for Sunday and Donna is planning on coming Sunday (I think I'm correct on Donna).
We have soooooo many thinking about driving for the day, but just not able to to which day yet due to sort.
I wish I had more concrete answer for you. I think we will jave people who just aren't ablt to make commitment until the event gets closer. Bonnie (Polly's Mom) is one of those.
And Clare, we are hoping to have local TV coverage too, so that will be an extra .arketing bonus for yiur book and Tripawds!! WOOF!! WOOF! 🙂
Donna...that was soooo kind of your niece to offer....so very kind!! And I'm just speaking for myself, but I think we'll jave plenty of photographers amongEIGHT ELIZABETH) among us to immortalize this epic event!! Additionally, there is someone locally who specializes in pet photography who may be able to donate her time, again, can't commit just yet though.
Anyeay, I'm fine whichever way anyone wa ts ro go and will participate as needed gladly. A HUGE thank you to you and your niece, however it turns out!!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Clare...just a quick PS........on both days we are guaranteed at least 14 dogs on both dogs if I counted right. That figure comes based on those we know for sure will be there both days. So I really think either day will be good, with possibly a few more on SUNDAY though
Besides, rumor has it that Frankie and a few others will be making so much noise that it will sound like a hundred dogs at any one time 🙂 🙂

Oh yes.... Chauffeur Alison and co-pilot Jasper Lily are always prompt and on-time for parties! And since Clare and Tina will be with me, they shall also be prompt and on-time. I suspect the group houses will plan to arrive at 3 to maximize our "partay" time!!!
But seriously Clare- I'll reach out to Karma who is collecting RSVPs via the survey monkey and she should be able to give you a better sense of who's attending and which days!
XOXO

Clare according to the survey its pretty evenly matched for both days but I am sure there are some who haven't taken that survey yet. Please if you haven't taken the survey try to do that at the latest by the middle of May. As we are planning food/etc.

Is there a way for someone on a tavlet to see the results and ro see the names? I'd love ro know if some of the "maybes" I'm aware of are actually on there, or, even better, if there are surprise additional people!
WOOF!! WOOF!!

You guys are making me so jealous - I was actually looking into the cost of a NetJets private to see if I could find a way to bring Mr. Gator. Unfortunately, I will have to stay just jealous.
Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016. Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016. Lung mets August 25, 2016. Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016. Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma.
Wherever they are, they are together.
I KNOW you are working on it ....notice I said...ARE...not "were"!
Why, you ask??
Because, what IF....just what IF....POOCH Pen #10 ends up being the dog Otis and Tess pick for you and Gator! What IF we got POOCH Pen#10 to Virginia for THE Pawty.....okay.....haven't gotten any further than that zs far as my "vision" I'm throwing out to the Universe!!!
I know you don't want to put Gator in boarding, but he may not mind if he knows you are bringing him a pal doggy!
Okay....somebody else pick up on the "vision" we are sending to the Universe...Christine might want to know too!!
Gosh! To rhink we could get Christine here, and somehow Gator too....all lit up like a Christmas tree just thinking about this miracle! 🙂 🙂
Where there's a will, there's a way!!
WAIT!!! Donna, how close do you live to Chicago????????
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
I think it was about a 5 or 6 hour drive to Chicago when we went ... but in the other direction! lol
When I answered the survey, I was a pretty big "IF," and now we're a "yes." We're planning on leaving here very early Saturday morning to hopefully make it to the park on Saturday. We're going to leave Murphy home, though, since 9 hours in the car will probably be a bit too much for him ... sorry!!! I know you want to meet him, but he is a senior and that's a long time for him.
I think we're going to book a hotel in Mechanicsville, which will put us about 30 minutes away from those staying in the rental houses, and 30 minutes from the park.

Donna, Glenn & Murphy
Murphy had his right front leg amputated due to histiocytic sarcoma at 7 years old. He survived 4 years, 2 months & 1 week, only to be taken by hemangiosarcoma at 11 1/2 years 6/12/17

AND YAAAAAAAAAY AGAIN!!! DONNA, THIS IS SO EXCITING!! 🙂 🙂
As much as we all want to meet SUPERSTAR ROCKSTAR SUPERHERO MURPHY, we certainly understand why he may prefer to stay home on the sofa!! 🙂
WOW! You really are going to be leaving early!!! You may have more jet lag than our international travelers!! 🙂

Hey Sally,
Right now we have 23 members that have responded. 21 people are confirmed for Saturday with 5 are maybes on that day plus we have 19 people confirmed for Sunday with 6 maybes. I've included any of the conversations from this forum thread where someone might have said they are considering it... those are in our maybes so far. Feel free to give me a call and I can go over all the details collected so far.
