October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014
Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

We have a couple of out of state beloved members who are trying to figure out how to fly here.
I saw something in the news about "free passes" (and leggings 🙂 and it came to me that POSSIBLY there may be some air miles floating around out that that could be donated.:-) 🙂 O someone who know someone who works at an airline who knows how to get "free passes".
I have no idea how that woukd work, but just thought I'd throw it out into our "collective consciousness"

Right rear leg amp 7/12/16 due to OSA. Metastatic lesion on her right front leg, January 2017. Joined the Winter Warriors January 19, 2017. Run free my sweet girl.
Oh yeah Teri, we can have Myrtle and Frankie help with the airport run! You may want to wear an apron though. As soon as Myrtle gets in the car, she start slobbering anticipating her Starbucks Puppy Latte!.

Nitro 11 1/2 yr old Doberman; right front amp June 2014. Had 6 doses carboplatin, followed by metronomic therapy. Rocked it on 3 legs for over 3 years! My Warrior beat cancer, but couldn't beat old age. He crossed the Bridge peacefully on July 25, 2017, with dignity and on his terms. Follow his blog entitled "Doberman's journey"

Wanda wa ted some information on the Tribute Leash that Karen started. This link pretty much contains everything. This will be a great FYI for a yone who wants to add a ribbon
The ribbons can also be for any dog or cat currently in this journey. Whenever they do transition ( a hundred years from now!), Karen ties a lovely white ribbon on top of the other ribbon to acknowledge they've become Angels.
Karen has thought of everything in her Tribute box she's ki d enoigh to send for our Pawty. It will jave ribbons, scissors, rulers, colored pens to write kn the ribbon, little stick ons, etc .
So bring any special things to attach to the ribbon. I attached little plastic M&M guys to Happy Hannah. Kathi attached a plastic green bean to Murphy's. Anyway, you get the idea!
