Hey, guess what?? I was in my kitchen this evening, minding my own business, when my son came home and announced that there was a lady who had just passed by our house, walking a 3-legged dog!
This is the kind of thing you don't see every day, so I ran right outside to look. They were already 2 houses past us, and I didn't feel right calling out to her or anything, but I thought I'd post about it here, in case she is a member of Tripawds. The dog was a handsome shepherd/husky mix or something similar, with a right rear amp just like my Boomie.
I'm hoping I can have a chance to say hi to her. Maybe she reads this forum. Or maybe she'll walk her dog past my house again. My son said I should put up a little sign that says "a 3-legged dog lives here!" and see if she stops and introduces herself and her dog.

Boomie's leg was amputated due to osteosarcoma on May 15, 2008. He enjoyed over two and a half years of life after that, one day at a time. He died on Feb. 21, 2011.
OH my gosh you're in Fullerton? No way! We are heading that way for the holidays, my Grandpawrents and family live in Whittier. We'll be there all of December.
Did you know there will be a SoCal Tripawd pawty in Demember? Stay tuned to this topic and I'm sure a new one for L.A. will get started soon.
I moved your post here to Tripawds Parties, because that's how we usually meet and plan get-togethers. I also put it on our Tripawds Facebook Page too, so maybe your mystery Tripawd's human will see it. Then you can BOTH come to the pawty! Yeay!
We can't wait to meet you!

At first I thought it might be Chloe, but I guess she is farther north right now. And Wyatt isn't that far south yet.
I remember seeing a tripawd last year walking down a street. I turned the corner, parked the car and ran back to meet the person and find out their story. I'm sure the person and dog wouldn't mind if you chased them down. Or would they?
I got busy and forgot to watch out for the lady and her dog today. Maybe I will make a little sign and see if she notices it, if she even comes by this way again.
And I'll keep a lookout for your SoCal party planning....
