...Is anyone interested in a pawty?? We are having one of the mildest winters on record..so our usual excuse  (Wahhhhh...it's snowing)isn't flying, people!!

Depending on how many are interested...I would love to host/sponsor a get-together. Post or PM me...I will do the "leg" work...Haha..if we have enough interest. Even if we have to wait until Spring.

As much as we would absolutely love that, we may have to pass.  Zeus LOVES people, but is not a very dog-friendly pup.  I have a feeling he might ruin the festivities.  blush  Sorry!!

Lisa

Zeus was a Husky mix diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at age 11.  A visible lung met and suspicious spot on his liver meant a poor prognosis-six weeks was our vet's best guess. We decided to fight for our boy and his right front leg was amputated on 12/1/11. We did six rounds of chemo, changed his diet and spoiled him completely rotten. We were blessed with 10 great months after diagnosis. Against the odds, the lung met remained a single met and grew very little over those months. A wonderful furbaby with the most gentle spirit, he fought with a strength that we never imagined he possessed. We have no regrets...

Im in! We almost had one last year but things fizzled out. We are south of Rochester.  Do you know if Evangola State Park allows dogs? I would love to meet near water in the warmer weather. You are always welcome to meet us at Letchworth State Park, I work at the hotel at the north entrance (we are pet friendly)

Our dogs are not the warm and fuzzy we love everyone type but they will behave themselves on leash. THey do not do so well inside a strange house so outdoors is best for us.

Spirit Samson was Spirit Tripawd Daisys four legged "brother" and ruled as the self proclaimed head of the Monkeybutt Federations East Coast Division. Lady Chunky Monkey stayed from Oct 2011 and left for the bridge in Apr 2012. Miss Perdy is left and has some big pawprints to fill.

It's OK Sweet Zeus! We totally get it. There are some days when Momma doesn't really dig members of her own species either. Usually right around the time she comes home from one of her rescue missions. She's usually grumbling about how some people who mistreat and abandon animals suck. 😉

OK Samson...Mom will start doing some research about Evangola, but Letchworth would be really awesome too. We agree...now that winter is here. Warmer weather near the water sounds good.

One of the other Mom's in our rescue has a tripawd and the nice lady at PetSmart said she has at least 2 customers who are Pawds too. And our pet sitter has 2 other customers who are Pawds. Mom might hang some fliers on the bulletin boards at local pet stores just to see if there are any Pawds we are missing who might want to come. But Mom thinks even if it just us, it would be really a lot of fun. Most likely, I will have to stay on leash too...me being a hound and all. Sometimes my nose gets me in trouble. Monkeybutt Chaz loves other pups but is less crazy about strange peeps. I guess we all have our quirks!!!

We will keep you posted!!

Hugs from Pegz

Hey!  My name is Chooch!  I am a two year old grayhound, lab and who knows what else!  I like squirrels, treats, laying in water and best of all, minipulating humans with my adorable face and slumping down where my front leg used to be!  (So easy to get belly scratches from those silly humans that think they should feel bad for me!)  My mom was poking around tri-pawds page and happened to see this thread.  We are stationed in Syracuse, NY and I have a lot of great puppy pals, but love to meet new friends.  Especially fellow hoppin' tri-pawds like myself.  Next time a playdate is scheduled, can you let us know??

Can't wait to meet you guys!

WELCOME CHOOCH!!!! (such a cute name!)

Nothing on our calendar right now, but stay tuned. Do you mind driving a little farther west? It looks like the Western NY Tripawd Nation (Buffalo) is growing and so we may be planning new excellent adventures soon. Are you in?
