Hi all, we are going to have a meet up at San Diego's Fiesta Island (Angel Abby's favorite spot in the entire world and the place that I think of as "doggy Disneyland") on Wednesday, October 24th around 9.45/10.00 am until lunch time-ish.
I know that's not a great time for folks who work during the week, but Queen Nova's mom, Sue, is going to be in town, so MB Rita and I are going to take her to check out Fiesta Island. Maximutt & Maxidad are joining us with Bernie Bin Laden and the lovely Linda.
We are going to be light on actual tripawds, so it would be great if others could make it. It's too bad Queen Nova can't be there! Angels Abby & Max will be there in spirit, that's for sure.
If you can make it and don't know exactly where Fiesta Island is, you can PM me for details.

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
As long as Wookie is having a good week, we'll be there!
Right hind limb amputated 7/3/12 for OSA, started on alternating cycles of Carboplatin and Doxorubicin and oral Palladia. Single lung met 9/1. Met in the neck muscle removed 9/30. Large mass in sublumbar lymph node 10/2. Rescue chemo with ifosfamide 10/6. Mets to the rib and axillary lymph node 10/21. Started Leukeran and Pred 10/25. Wookie left this Earth for a far better place on 12/4/12. I miss you, Boo, you were my heart.
Nothing better than a party on a hump day! I will put this on Facebook too.
Keep reminding us here OK? I wish we could be there!

I'm stuck in a conference that day.
Boo for conferences! Yay for beach days!
Our first pup was a beagle (in fact we lost our beloved Bailey at age 12 three years ago today). My hubby and I have a huge soft spot for beagles! Hopefully we'll meet up soon.

It was great meeting everyone today... Diane, John, Jackie, Sue, Bernie, Linda, and the lovely Rita!
Wookie had a great time, even though I couldn't get him to go in the water past his front toe nails, lol. And, OF COURSE, I forgot my camera so I'll have to rely on the charity of everyone else to get some photos from today!
What a perfect day it was to go to the bay!

It was great to see/meet everyone - especially Wookie! I'm so glad he had a great day. He was so cute, not wanting to put a paw in the water! (And it was HOT today.)
I got a couple of cute pics. I'll put some up here once I get a blog post done.

It was SO great to meet everyone. Would have been great to have the Queen with me though.
I got some great pictures of all the pups, especially Wookie. But it looks like I won't be able to upload them until Sunday night when we get back from CA. I am just traveling with an iPad and can't get the camera connection kit to work. But I will post them as soon as we get back. Everyone PM me your email address so I can send you high res photos if you want to print them.
Thanks again for a wonderful time. I even had the chance to experience fine California cuisine (In N Out Burger) and to see all the pups enjoy their Flying Dutchmen.
