Zeus is recovering beautifully from surgery. He’s up and hopping around everywhere. It’s like in his mind this never even happened. How fortunate that dogs have that ability! I still mourn the loss of his leg and at times think I see that in Zeus but it’s just transference – he doesn’t pity himself and I shouldn’t be pitying him either! This has been a growing process for me as an individual, and based on the lessons my dog is teaching me it’s time to move on and point our eyes towards the future.
