Please try not to worry (I know it's hard not to!). It could be anything from allergies to mets, it's really hard to say without an x-ray. Did the vet x-ray his lungs at all?

Hey Jamie and Bogi!

Yeah, I'm with Jerry on this....sounds very much allergy related..or even some kind of something caught in his throat....piece of twig, grasses, anthing.

Look in his moth as much as he will let you and see if you see any swelling in tne back of his throat, redness, etc. anything idicating an irritation.

I have no idea if this is the case, but it seems if t's mets, the symptons wouldn't be an overnight onslaught of hacking and coughing

And he's feeling fine otherwise? I really think he's fine but I know you'll feel better when you get him checked out Monday. Keep usposted!

This journey can throw ua' over the edge aout every other day! But remember, we've go you tethered to the tripawd rope and won't let you go!

Surrou ding you with peace and calm,

We actually had this with Atlas and it was because of the chemo.  Sorry, I can't get to Bogi's info to find out (having terrible UVerse problems) but did he have chemo?  Atlas had this mucus stuff form on the back of his throat and it cause him to gag and cough something awful.  Scared the bageebers out of me but Dr. Williams looked down his throat and explained how the chemo was effecting his membranes etc...  Anyway now that we are finished with chemo he has stopped gagging and coughing.  Maybe this is what's going on with Bogi?

Sending pawsitive thoughts and hugs your way.

Yes, I think it's time for new chest X-rays, so you and your vet know what's going on and the best way to deal with it. Otherwise it's just guesswork.

Sending positive thoughts and energy to you and Bogi.

Right hind limb amputated 7/3/12 for OSA, started on alternating cycles of Carboplatin and Doxorubicin and oral Palladia. Single lung met 9/1. Met in the neck muscle removed 9/30. Large mass in sublumbar lymph node 10/2. Rescue chemo with ifosfamide 10/6. Mets to the rib and axillary lymph node 10/21. Started Leukeran and Pred 10/25. Wookie left this Earth for a far better place on 12/4/12. I miss you, Boo, you were my heart.
