Great news!! The vet called this morning and said Socks is doing great. She isn't needing the heavy sedation like she had yesterday. She is also up and eating. I am so happy for her. Can't wait to get her home.

That's great news!!!! Hurray for Socks!!!  When does she get to come home?

Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. Probably Friday. He said wanted to monitor her for a few days. I'm nervous about bringing her home. I have set up our spare bedroom for her to stay in at night since we have other dogs. We also have a mastiff. I'm going to have keep her kind of separate from him until her stitches heal. I'm afraid he will accidentally bump into her and knock her down. I hope everything goes well with bringing her home. I understand your nervousness about Jill's surgery tomorrow, everything will okay. She will come through it and be happier than ever.

The vet called this afternoon and socks is almost back to her old self. He said she even negotiated a small flight of stairs. I'm excited about seeing her in the morning. Cant wait to get her home. Is there anything special I should have for her before she arrives home?
