YAY HAPPY HANNAH for getting through our first week after chemo well!
YAY HAPPY HANNAH for having our blood work come back today ALL in. Normal range!

YAY HAPPY HANNAH for NOT losing 14 lbs. In three wks. Since surgery, but, according to my regular vet today, only about six or seven lbs. --and most of that is probably leg!

YAY HAPPY HANNAH for not needing pain meds for two days now (finally after almost a month of being on them)

YAY HAPPY HANNAH for laying on amputated side some!

YAY HAPPY HANNAH for being you!

YAY HAPPY HANNAH'S extended tripawd family. We could not have made it this far without each of you---each and everyone of you! Thank you for being here for us. Each soul on this site is living a life of meaning and a depth of purpose that only tripawd parents could understand. It is a privilege to be on this walk with you.

Now Happy Hannah and I have some celebrating to do, a little happy dance and a whole lot of gratitude dance!! Now we do need to get a little w eight off Ms. Hannah, but for tonight it's ice cream and cake!!

Heartfelt love and appreciation to EACH of you! Whew, this happy dance is wearing me out and what a great thing!

Sally and Happy Hannah

YEY to HAPPY HANNAH and to SALLY!  This is the best news of the day for me!  I read it and smiled, ear to ear!  We knew you'd get there.  And what a relief that she's handling chemo so well!

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12.  Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ!  No side effects.  We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments.  He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors!  Our love. Our funny little guy!

Isn't it amazing how the simple things become sooooo important?  This journey really teaches us to appreciate the little things and celebrate EVERY accomplishment!

Hummmm... do you have any of that cake and ice cream left?

I am delighted to hear that Hannah is coming along much better now. I know it is a huge relief, and I know how much energy it takes to worry. Now you can use the energy for important things that will keep you all moving forward.

I'd like to cast my vote for you starting a new topic since you are no longer scared that you made a horrible decision. How about "Hannah's doing much better now" or something? One day I expect to see "Hannah's awesome and fabulous and absolutely perfect!" Fingers crossed! clap

Yes Dakota Dawg I will be thrilled to do a new topic. I so agree and just didn't know I could. Will work on that when I get home tonight. I was soooooooo hoping you would see this site as your posts meant so much to me. Should I post on this site to go to whatever title I come up with. (I li me your suggestion)? Dakota Dawg lived with grace you said on the bottom banner of your reply------I think it's because YOU taught Dakota Dawg the essence of grace. Keep on rolling over and scratching your back Dakota on the pillow of clouds that heaven provides angels like you.

Love and appreciation, Sally and Happy Hannah

Please feel free to start a new topic in the Share Your Story forum and give it a descriptive title, then reply to the topic whenever you have updates. Be sure to subscribe to the topic to receive notification of replies by others. Or, you could start a blog to document Hannah's progress – whichever you prefer.

jerry---Anything I did "well" was a direct result of this magnificent site. I could say a million times over and it would never be enough how much this extended family means to me/Happy Hannah. My courage came from here, my knowledge came from here, my serenity came from here my hope came from here and, even though I never felt so alone during this stuff---I knew I was never alone because of this site. Help was just a post away. Forever grateful, Sally and Happy hannah
