I'm so happy to hear that Shilo is doing much better!!! Chemo can really knock a dog out for a couple of days (same with people)... and then there are some dogs that have absolutely no problems... go figure?!

What chemo are you doing?

Jake's Mom

Jake, 10yr old golden retriever (fractured his front right leg on 9/1, bone biopsy revealed osteosarcoma on 9/10, amputation on 9/17) and his family Marguerite, Jacques and Wolfie, 5yr old german shepherd and the newest addition to the family, Nala, a 7mth old Bengal mix kittie. Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!

I sure am glad that Shilo is recuporating from her chemo.  Poor girl and poor you for the stress too.    Shilo is in my prayers.

ildillon - We are not using K-9 immunity . I have been giving her high protein, low carb diet. We feed her as much as she will tolerate of sardines and cottage cheese. We couldn't do both K-9 and Chemo so, it we though best to do Chemo first. Oh, I also try to give her flax seed (she does not like that stuff in anything smiley7). By the way your baby is a cutie!!

Jakesmom - Thanks for the paws up smiley2! I wish Jake was doing better, give him some kisses for me. We are using Carboplatin only. 5 treatments 3 week intravals. She has 3 more to go sf-frown.

Debra - Thanks for the prayers she can use all she can get. We make sure to always keep Em in ours as well. sf-smile

Shilo diagnosed with osteosarcoma 9/4/2009, amputation 9/9/2009. ShiloAnne lost her battle 11/23/2009 where she regained her fourth leg and is patiently waiting for her parents to join her. We will always love you baby girl.

Shilo

You might want to try fish oil instead of flax oil. It tastes great, if you are a dawg, and supposedly works better. It makes me eat my food far too quickly.

Thanks Tazzie I will get her some Fish Oil, I am sure it will work since she seems to like that smelly stuff. I will try to sneak the Flax seed oil in my teenagers food, and boost there systems. icon_lol

I was just reading up on Tazzie's lumps. I tell ya, you are going to be an expert on the Lump subject and we are all going to come to you. I sure am glad to hear Tazzie is such a trooper, you have one heck of a hero on your hands. 🙂
