Well first treatment is done. So far so good. Sassy was all waggles when I picked her up tonight. So happy to see her mom. I was happy to see her. Did blood work and everything looked good. white blood cells were up a little before treatment but not too much to be worried about the vet said. She said better to be up than down. All other kidney, liver etc functions were good.
Did lung x-rays today also. Everything was clear YAY!!!!! That was 2 months since the very first lung x-rays and those were done almost a month before amputation so this is very good news.
She ate good tonight so hoping no nauseau but did get meds if needed.

If you don't want to start a blog, you might consider creating one forum topic to share your story where can can reply with updates. That way Sassy's progress is documented in one place which will be much more helpful for people looking for information you may have to offer. Readers could then also subscribe to your topic to be notified of updates, and not possibly miss new topics you start.

Way to go, Sassy! Love to hear the good updates. It is fascinating to me that the dogs handle the chemo so much better than humans. How awesome it would be to level that playing field to get the maximum effects of the meds with minimal side effects for animal and human.

Doing good today. She is real sleepy but I think that is a side effect of the chemo. Of course its hard to tell because she usually sleeps while I work. So far no nauseau. Ate her breakfast and pottied. I think she is doing really well.

Magnum: 30th May 2002 to 5th May 2012. Lost her back left leg to osteosarcoma on 5th Sep 2011. Lung mets found on 20th Mar 2012 but it was bone mets in the hip that ended her brave battle.
