Awww.....sweet pictures. I love Piper's cheekbone structure. She jas such a distinctive smoochable mug..
Yeah, glad you sent to pic to the Bet to get reassurance on that "pocket" Should get smaller but keep the Bet in the loop if any drastic change, fluid, etc. Bit yeah, overall looks good.
And Rangwr is a very handsome boy! He is sich a food nurse for Piper♥️
Thanks for the pictures. Good job! More, more!!!

Hi again,
I'm glad to hear Piper had her surgery, is home and is doing well!
Does she usually sleep in bed with you? When Maggie had her amp surgery I slept on the living room floor with her in one of her beds and neither of us got much sleep. I finally just took her back to bed with me and we got through the night much easier. I was lucky that she never tried to jump down.
Years later my Pug boy had knee surgery and since he always slept with me I put my mattress on the floor- I don't know why I didn't think of that with Maggie! That way if he did decide to 'jump' it was only about 6 inches.
I'm glad you called the vet about the sag. Maggie didn't have that with her amp surgery but with an earlier tumor removal from her side. It eventually tightened up.

Yeah they all sleep with me. Our bed is REALLY tall because my husband is 6’7” so I didn’t want to risk the temptation to jump. Last night was our first time sleeping in bed. She’s doing wonderful. The saggy pocket has shrunk down a lot most of the bruising is fading away now as well. She is using the ramps for the bed and the truck with no issues at all and was super excited to load up to come to work this morning. She’s still very drowsy and laying around a lot (I believe it’s all the drugs). Phantom pains have subsided since Sunday. Finally got some tail wags and puppy kisses also. I’m in much better spirits about her so far. I’m a little shocked at how well her incision is doing to be honest. We had a really bad experience when the Great Dane was neutered. And with this being a much more major surgery I was worried to death.
Way to go Piper!
The recovery road is pretty smooth it sounds like, and yep, that drowsy sleepy behavior will gradually fade away as time goes on and the meds are reduced. So happy that the phantom pain is gone too. YAY!
Hope you both had a good day at work.
Soggy kosses and tail wags from Piper....YAY!!!
This is such a good update. Thank you for sharing.....we can "hear" the smile in your voice and "see" the relief on your face😊😎

So the excursion was to our “tool shed” which is a shed in the middle of nowhere that has all kinds of tools, craft, lawn tools, power tools random stuff extremely discounted. One of my favorite places to get out and just look around. Kinda like going to an antique shop there’s always new stuff every time I go. She did fantastic. We took plenty of breaks, and got lots of attention from everyone. So glad to see her up and moving around and happy again. She is finally eating without any chicken broth and drinking plenty of fluids again. Yesterday she laid in my freshly spread mulch while I worked on the flower beds. She was just eating up the sunshine
Over the moon Happy to read this! Piper is definitely back to being Piper!!! When you start to see some of the old routines and happy sparkle come back, you know she's turned the corner!!
Love that you and Piper find such joy is just poking around your "Antique" tool shed. And nothing better than a dog and her hooman doing a little gardening together..
Thanks for showing everyone on this journey what's possible once tecovery starts getting further and further away in the rear view mirror🥰
