Just letting you know I'm sending you so many hugs and thinking about you.....

Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. So cute Sally! I can't believe Hannah didn't go after her "friend."

Amy I hope that deer put a smile on your face and a little dance in Libby's heart. You are in our thoughts today. xoxo

OMG ... is that deer really only have 3 legs? WOW.... is that what I am seeing?

I am also surprised Hannah did go after it. Shelby would have gone all bat crazy (but Shelby also went bat crazy on a squirrel the other day and tried to climb a tree ... why she thinks she can do that w/3 legs when she could not w/4 is beyond me)

Any ways... we're both thinking about you today!

Hugs and love!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Amy & Libby

Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13.  Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14.  She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self.  Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14

The anti-inflammatories haven't been at work very long yet and may tke a bit longer to kick nin.

The fact rhat she's "still Libby" and apparenty doesn't seemed to be othered with her "non-walking" abilities. That's such a POWERFUL statement from her "lips" straight to your ears.......that's her way of letting you know how loved and secure she feels with you and Bret!
You have given Libby tohave the most incredible gift of time where she is able to feel more love and more spoiling than most dogs experience in an entire lifetime!

She KNOWS every single thing you have done since this whole journey began...and continue to do...has always been with Libby's best interest......yoj've never waivered..not one second, in yor commitment to her well-being!

You are the face of devotion, determination and incredible, undeniable strength!! This journey with you and Libby i spires us all on so many levels...so many!! Gosh, we're going on past fourteen months now, right?? UNBELIEVABLE!! And to think.....in Libby's "dog years", this is over seven more years of being loved by you!

Keeping all paws crossed for thing but good things for yu and Libby.

Sending so much love and lots and lots of healing energyz!

Sally and Happy Hannah

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Thank you so much for all the prayers and pawsitive thoughts.  Her back end is not improving. Not even a little. If it's a slipped disc or a met on her spine, either way...she's not a candidate for surgery.

She's still eats like a horse.  She has been coughing/gagging on a daily basis the past 3 or 4 days.  Not all day long but 2 or 3 times throughout the day.  Enough to scare the bajeebers out of Sammie who high tails it to the furthest corner of the house.  I don't know why it bothers her so much.  Other than that Libby's breathing doesn't seem labored. She pants more from the meds she's on.

We loaded her in a wagon today and took her in the park.  She wasn't thrilled with the ride but when we stopped and got her out to lay in the snow, she did her best to roll.  I gave her help with rolling her back end.

Love,

Amy & Libby

That's great you guys got to get some fresh air together and just be. It's the simple moments like these that are so precious.

I hope you all have a good evening and a better day tomorrow. Give her a smooch from us.

I love that she feels good enough to eat and to rollin the snow (with a little help from mom)!
It's wo derful that she finds joy in the snow, even with the "challe ges". Such a love.

Don't worry about the coughing as far as being that stupid disease. Hapy Hannah doesn't cough or gag at all (and hopefuly won't, knock on wood). As Michelle said, the possibilities they "prepare" you for, are rarely what really happens.

Poor Sammie, running scared from a coughing noise.....I now it's not funny....-but it is!

Hugs and love to all!

Amy,

Is Libby on any meds that might be causing her stomach to be upset? Acid Reflux can cause gagging and coughing. And are her head, neck and torso in an upright position (does that make sense?) when she's eating and drinking to make sure everything goes down the "right way"?

It's great that she's eating and had such a nice time today!

Hugs,
Carol

You have been on my mind all day. Hope tomorrow looks brighter.

Kathi and Murphy

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
