Lacey must ve very proud at how quickly you've learned to play ball HER way. Gave me quite a chuckle visualizing how she runs by your sideas you go fetch her ball. 😂
Glad she got an A+ on her bloodwork. This girl knows how to get on with gettin' on😎

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
For those who need hope, Lacey is doing well. She will get her third chemo treatment Friday this week. It still SUCKS(cancer) going through it but we have her and she is happy and her normal self.
Lacey has decided some days I am the one who fetches and some times she does. She lets me sit in the warm living room after each outside excursion but for some reason 30 seconds is enough of a break. She averages 5 times doing this before she realizes I need a longer break. It gets tough chasing the ball when she looks up at me and says "your getting it"...
I hope everyone out there is doing ok. Reach out if I can be of any help. We have gone through this and are still going through it so we may be able to lend some advice or a few words of encouragement in such a hard time. My tear ducts are beginning to replenish until next time but until then my smiles are big and strong.
BTW, Al0ved Lacey's Tri-Day photo. She absolutely melts my heart and I love seeing photos of her💖
It delights me hearing about Lacey"s game of fetch and how much "rest" time she allows you to have. Tripawds rule!!!
Al3ight, chemo two done and three kn the way!! Keep on keeping on sweet Lacey!

It’s been a few weeks, wow! Lacey is halfway through chemo and she had a chest scan last Friday that went very well. Still clear and everything is going ok so far. She’s a fighter and it feels as if things are normal minus a front leg. Sounds terrible but we are very happy she is with us.
I hope this finds everyone well.
This is a SPECTACULAR uodate on so many levels!! Lacey is doing well and so are her hoomans! And clear xrays....YAAAAAY!!
Sounds terrible but we are very happy she is with us.
This doesn't sound "horrible" at all! Sounds like you've learned one of the life lessons of this journey Lacy is teaching you: Celebrate being fully "present" in each moment with no worries about the tomorrows.. Each day is a gift and not to be taken for granted.

Update on Lacey. Things have been pretty undramatic. She is her old self, running and playing. She does yell at us a lot to go outside. No complaints here.
We stopped chemo at #5 because they ran out and apparently there is a shortage of the one she receives,. Starts with a G. Tried spelling it but no go….
We are signed up for the vaccine in Washington. Just need to get it scheduled. Any one have feedback on the Washington state/Yale vaccine?
I hope this finds everyone in good spirits and fighting this horrible disease!
Soooo nice to know that no news has been good news! Thank you soooo much for taking time from your busy day to share and give hope to others.
Yes there is a big carboplatin / chemo drug shortage and I guess it's affecting another med used in combo with carboplatin, Gemcitabine. It's affecting human patients too ugh!
The Yale Vaccine study is so interesting. I do know that Nicholas' human is looking into it too, so hopefully she will chime in.
Fight on Lacey!!!! You inspire us!
"Undramatic" is always good news!👏
FWIW, many Oncologist are using four Carboplatin treatments as their standard these days. This was even before the shortage. Happy Hannah's Oncologist suggest four rounds as her protocol. Anyway, liust wanted to throw that out their for some reassurance.

Hi, just catching up on Lacey. So happy and thrilled she is doing well!
Great Job Lacey and mom and dad too....
My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019. With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer. I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud! He will live forever in my Heart!

"March Saint"
Thanks for the replies you all….. I remember a conversation you had about the four treatments being the standard. Thanks for bringing it back up as a reminder.
We are also ok being done because people use that treatment as well and we had our share. Really sad about the shortage. I hope they get the stock back for those who need it. Ugh….
My Saint Bernard just had her consult with an oncologist here in Colorado. O was told that the standard is four rounds but that the CSU clinic does five and that i could choose either. So it sounds to me that yours got through what needed to be done. Congrats on all of the success. My old girl is just beginning and i am terrified.
We were very nervous about our visit to the oncologist yesterday because it was blood work, lung scan and urine test day. I am super excited to say everything looks great. We also asked about the Yale vaccine and our doctor has had one experience with it and 24 hours after the vaccine the dog passed. That is not to say it was the vaccine and it’s only one data point. After our research we have decided to not do the Yale virus but keep it on the back burner as an option. As I have learned from this site, each dog is different. It’s not right for us at this moment.
I met my first other tripawd at the vet. Kinda cool!
