Well well well things were going too well weren't they?  Juuuuust when I was starting to relax Jilly things "ah HA we have a big appointment coming up I know what to do!"

Yes Jill.  Thanks for that.  Yet again, RIGHT before a looming chest xray, Jill has decided to have a coughing fit.  She has literally done this exact cough only one other time in her entire life and it was three days before an xray in the winter.  This little bugger really knows how to stick it to me.  I showed the video to her vet yesterday (I was there for an appointment with Jack - his diagnosis, he's fat, I know, shocking)  and he said it's hard to tell, but it's definitely not a hairball cough.  I emailed the video to the oncologist and she seemed to think she mightve had something stuck in her throat or possibly a little bronchitis and also write "quite clever she is doing this when she has an xray this week"

Yes...quite clever indeed little Jill.  So, I'm trying to remain calm.  I swear I am!  Her appointment is on Friday....She's acting totally normal otherwise, just this little coughing fit that went on for about 3 minutes and did not happen again.

Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. JILL! Stop tht! You KNOW it scares your momma and YOU also know it's absolutely nothing but some sort of allergu crap passing through the air messing withnyou! Yeah, I know, your trying to tell your momma yoj're allergic to xrays! Not gonna work...she's still taking you in! And it CLEARLY isn't anything else or you would be doing it ALL the time. Now Erica, IF she does doit some more between now and Friday, it could indeed be some typeof bronchitis. It almost looks d like the way she was lickingmher little kitty nose that she maymhave had a bit of "snot spray" goingon. So again, IF it cntinues tomhappen could be a little coldor something.

Can you think of anything she coud have eaten before that .....something that would cause a little "reject" cough?

Now, let's focus on the real problem here......JACK IS DIAGOSED AS FAT??? HOW CAN THAT BE? There were no clues, no signs! Just BAM! Out of the blue Brudda' is fat! We are all stunned over here! I Know you are in shock!! Grab a chocolate, inhale it and then take a deep breath!! B R E A T H E.........B R E A T H E!! OMC! Jack is fat!

Okay, do your research...there are a lot of links nere from people who ave had fat cats! I think we have a link to "FAT CATS ANONYMOUS" that maybe helpful. I know there are plenty of support goups for pawrents of chubby cats too!

Alright Jill, you still jave to doyour xray, so no need to cough anymore, okay? You probably inhaled some of your "fur" blanket!

Erica,

Yep that is what Jill gets paid to do keep you on your toes LOL.  I know how scared you must feel.  At least Jill's oncologist is keeping a sense of humor about it.

Sending lots of positivity your way that it's something that can be easily fixed. Libby tends to get allergies when the seasons change. Maybe that's what is going on? Good luck on Friday and keep us posted.

Jill is showing us she is all cat and that she is the one in control and not you! Take a deep breath and hang in there. Try to keep your blood pressure down.

Yeah Pepper! That picture of Jill tells you she is feeling just fne!! When I think about the photos a month ago versus now...her eyes look sooooooo much better! Bright, alert, ready to take on the camera! That Jill is lovng the posng tonight! And we love Jill! She's looking "portrait purrfect" in this one!

Jilly you are going to give your Momma gray hairs.

OK to me it sounds like she's trying to learn how to bark like a dog! Alright, I'm reaching, but I just don't want you to worry. OK I know, how can you not? Hang in there, Friday will be here soon. Pawsitivity coming your way....

first of all, i want to tell jill that usually i chase cats and try to hurt them real bad, but i will  not do that to her. she lives in new york and i cannot ketch her. but i want her to be all well an stuff. i rilly would like to chase her. she haz 3 legz so i will bet i can ketch her. i am so conflicted.

second, do not let ennybody make jack feel bad about hisself. being fat is just an opinyon and jack does not have to lissen to ennybody and their stoopid opinyons. fat is a luvly, luvly thing. i am conflicted again cuz jack is a cat so i want to chase him down but i want him to feel happy with his fat. i understand fat.

Thanks everyone. Ev. Please don't chase my cats. I bet if you met them you'd just want to snuggle with them. I think.....
I know I just want to snuggle with you. No chasing!

I have to say as compared to the last coughing before an X-ray incident I'm remaining quite calm. It must be our new mantra:
