So far so good for day three.  She did poop today all on her own and balanced herself and everything.  She is doing really really well.    she has decided though she needs to spend at least an hour outside each time just laying around but not rushing her right now.

I just spent probably 2 hours with her outside with her just laying there.  Finally got her in and now she is sleeping.  I think she just wanted some fresh air.

So happy your recovery is going great so far.  I found that Daisy actually did better during her recovery when I let her do her normal routine.  Lazing around outside sounds like a good plan!

Oh did you ever think you'd be so happy about poop?! That's wonderful. Many dogs have difficulty pooping after surgery, but Sassy is doing great. Congratulations on the first poopy dance!

It must have been really sweet to just hang out with her and enjoy the day. It's those little ordinary things that mean so much after an experience like this.

Yay!

Day 3 sounds good to me.  Trouble always loved to lay outside and enjoy the sun.  I kept a toddler T=shirt on her until her incision healed so it wouldn't get dirt in it.
