Bailey is in intensive care since early this morning. When our oncologist called we brought her in as quickly as we could get her there. I told her I begged them to call her because we were just there and spent a lot of time with her and she would understand why I was so concerned. She was not happy with the staff last evening that she did not get a call. She looked at my phone and took down the times of the 9 times I called and wrote them down, they told me I could not being them in because of she had chemo and she would be at risk. According to Dr. Smith at VSS her oncologist she's fine at this point as far as white count... she's very unhappy even with the doctor.
Bailey was running 105 still, they took x-rays of her chest three way and they were clear no metes and no fluid and blood count was normal... so we have some concern as to what is going on. I'm waiting to hear back from her around 5 Central Standard Time.
I never seen her act like this before her heart was racing so bad I thought it was going to be the end, I never seen her look like that she wanted help and needed help and I couldn't get help. A regular ER really aren't very clean in my perspective (well at least here) protocol is fluids and anti nausea and send them home. So she's in good hands right now.
WE ARE DONE WITH CHEMO! SHE'S WON THIS BATTLE AND I'M NOT TURNING BACK.
Thanks for all the responses.

Keeping positive thoughts for Bailey! At least the x-rays and blood count were clear/normal, but like you said, that just deepens the mystery as to what's going on with her. Please keep us informed as you can. In the meantime, we're all thinking about Bailey and sending fast healing wishes her way!! Hang in there Bailey, you're a tough gal!!
I know this is a very scary situation, but she is in good hands and I hope they can figure out what is wrong quickly and make her better......hang in there, and sending positive thoughts to you and pretty Bailey.
Continuing to keep you both in my thoughts,

Deb and Angel Lexie* Diagnosed at age 13. Tried radiation first; wish we had amputated upon diagnosis (even with lung mets). Joined Club Tripawd April 2014 & Lexie loved life on 3 legs! Advice: Start physical therapy as soon as your vet clears it, especially hydrotherapy if available :-) See Lexie pics here.
Tracy you have everyone here and me too sending lots of love and hugs and prayers that she gets strong and beats whatever this thing is. She is a strong, strong girl who's going to kick butt when this is all behind you. Thank dog for some good news that you got back, we'll all hang onto that with you and hope that tomorrow is a good day for her. Please keep us posted OK?

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
Hoping all is well with Bailey--sending hugs and healing thoughts your way. Please let us know how things are going.
Thinking of you,
Joan and Lily
Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.
