I think we need a bit of cheer today as we are very upset to find out that only 2 months post op, it looks like Panchito has another lump growing at the surgery site. Waiting for biopsy results but the vet said he was pretty sure it was his cancer back. We feel utterly knocked - he's been so well for 7 weeks, like a puppy. He has histiocytic sarcoma which we know is a nasty one, but this all seems so fast. He's such a wonderful little man. Needing some tripawd hugs today. Thanks everyone! Xxx

So sorry to hear this! Did they also culture for infection? See Jerry's blog. That is how Ty's MRSA presented. They cultured for cancer and came back Neg. I pushed for bacteria culture. Just a thought. Hugs from Lori and Ty

Ok, breathe. Don't panic untii the biopsy report comes back. I know that's easier said than done, but you can do it. Watch how Panchito reacts to this news...no matter what it says, he doesn't care, he just wants to keep on living life to the fullest and making the most of every minute. Look at that adorable pup! Follow his lead. And keep us posted OK?

Oops! Hit reply too quickly!

This may,.or may not be anything...but regardless...it is no way means it's the end...no way, shape or form!!! Panchito is doing great and that is all.that matters!!! Panchito is a spunky and determined fella...a one of a kind who can handle anything thrown his way!!!

And do push for that culture sample test as Lori suggested! This could be so many different things.....even a reaction to a leftover staple...that has actually happened many times and found a couple of months kater because of a lump!

Sending you positive energy and lots of ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

I'm so sorry that you and Panchito are dealing with this issue.  As others have said just take a breath....try not to work yourself up into a panic until the biopsy results come in (I know easier said than done) but you don't want Panchito becoming anxious because he's picking up on your emotions.  Perhaps it's an infection and not cancer as Lori mentioned she had experienced.

Wait till the biopsy comes in then create a plan of action to address whatever the problem is.

Sending you and Panchito a BIG HUG across the Atlantic!

Panchito has overcome obstacles and I'm sure he'll overcome this one as well!!

Don't give up.

Thankyou so much everyone! You made me cry - thankyou for the support. The vet is not optimistic but Panchito is still apparently fit and well as he is eating and drinking and playing and wagging as much as ever. So still hoping for a little miracle - we'd love to have him one more year..... Thankyou again for being there when we need you! Xxx

A big hug from Rio, from Johnnie and his mommy.  As others already said, he is feeling great, and he needs your positive attitude to keep him going.  Paws crossed that this is only a little bump in the road.

Our awesome Golden Boy was diagnosed for OSA in April 2014 in the proximal humerus, front-leg amp on 05/20/2014. Finished chemo (Carbo6) on 07/10/2014. Ongoing treatment: acupuncture + K-9 Immunity Plus ( 3chews) and home-cooked no-grain diet.   Stopped Apocaps because of liver issues.   Liver issues: controlling altered enzymes with SAM-e and Milk Thistle.  October 17:  started having seizures.  Taking fenobarbital for seizures.  April 18: started prednisone.

Your vet doesn't know Panchito like you do, be strong and pawsitive, even when things look bleak it really does help. I hope you get a great report.

Hoping for the best possible report.

Take your cues from Panchito- he is happy today and that is what is important.  This is the time that you have to really live in the moment- Be More Dog !
