I've just ordered the Ruff Wear Grip Tex boot and the Muttluk Hotdogger bootie. Does anyone have any experience with either of these? We are taking Trouble with us to New Orleans the end of the month and I know the hotel we are staying in has slick marble floors. I also ordered the Grip Tex thinking she could wear them outside all the time to have a little more support. Any comments from current or past users?

Shanna, we know that some dogs do great with them, and others don't. It really depends on how properly sized the boots are. If measurements are off by even 1/4 of an inch, the boots can flip flop around on their feet.
Our friend Tazziedog puts baby socks on her Mastiff's feet, and this helps keep them in place.

Tazzie has just worn through her original Ruff Wear Bootie so we are going to order her another. I use the one with the heavy treads on her front foot which bears most of her weight. That foot has spread out a little over 9 months so the bootie fits better but I still put on an athletic anklet sock first to help keep it from slipping. She has softer "city booties" for the rear feet that are 1 size smaller than her front bootie and I don't need to put a sock on these.
She wears the heavy boot on her front foot all day to help prevent a pressure sore. She leaves it alone and doesn't chew it off, even if we aren't home. I only use the rear boots if she needs extra traction ; like at the vet clinic.
