Shhhh....I don't want ro go public with this yet.....but I'm dealing with a VERY receptive and wonderful rescue called Ruff Love Rescue from NC...AND.....shhhhh.....they have a tripawd thst needs a home!!!! Imw not gonna say too much right now....and there is not a Mastiff gene ANYWHERE to be found in this dog...far from it....but.....he's a one year old trilawd!
AND.....ta.....dum......they would love to see the reference letters!!!!! 
Would you be sooooo kind to go ahead and forward a few??? ALSO.......if you could erase any dates on the letters AND replace the name Gunther with FRANKLIN.......that would be splendid!!!!!! I did "indicate sorta'" that these letters were just now written for Franklin....shhhhh..
Oh, and don't tell anyone his name yet....I knew the name FRANKLIN was a good sign too....we all know there is only ONE Franklin so I know Christine will see it as a sign too.....when we decide to tell everyone! I'm doing everything in mynpower not to include a picture yet.....I just want to wait til its further along before I let the SECRET out!
They have the app...after a few tablet and Sally user set backs.....they are contacting the vet today....they said things like they really hope this works out"....and I will "be surprised at what a special boy he is"! Talk about rescue who really wants to get their dogs adopeed and has such a friendly receptive tone......nice!!!

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

I've been away for a bit so I'm not sure what happened to Gunther. From the sounds of things in this posting I'm taking that rescue wasn't as "friendly" as this one...
Well, I hope things work out for Franklin to find his way to his forever home with you. Any furkid would hit the jackpot with you as a mom and any rescue would be lucky to adopt a furkid to such a loving home. I think sometimes these rescues end up "cutting their noses off to spite their face." Hubby and I didn't have a good experience with a Dobie Rescue which left us with purchasing our boys from breeders. Neither my husband or I needed to be micromanaged in how to care for a dog like that rescue seemed to want to do. I guess us being denied by the rescue as potential adopters (hubby and I of all people) was a blessing since that's how we came to bring Leland into our home. I think if he'd ended up somewhere else with all his health issues from early on he'd probably been tossed out or dropped at a shelter somewhere. For that reason alone I'm thankful that I had a crappy experience with a rescue.

Are you kidding me??!!! You were denied!? That's ridiculous!!! However, I know exactly what you mean. I was afraid we would be denied for Meesha once they found out we didn't have a physical fence. In Tennessee, there's hardly any dirt in some places to have a garden much less dig a hole for a fence! We were lucky that the rescuer we got Meesha from was perfectly okay with our electronic fence.
It really ticks me off how many pets could have a loving home if it weren't for the outlandish "red tape".
Okay, done ranting. GO FRANKLIN!!!!

Yeah Sahana, some of the questions on the varioust applications are craaaazy! Innocent dogs are being killed everday and they won't adopt out to someone like you?? OMD!!! Some rescue groups, certainly not the majority, have definitely lost their focus, that's for sure!! And I see an awful lot of questions about finances from some of these groups. Well, if people had to be independently wealthy before they had kids....BINGO BANGO...world population just decreased by billions!!!
Bottom line...Leland had your name stamped on his heart the day he was born!!!!
Oh gosh! While I'm typing....okay...."typoing"...Ruff Love Rescue just said they left a message for my vet! WOOF! And...as far as home visits....they can AKYPE!!!! OMD!!! SKYPE?????? Okay, gon a call my BFF Bobby at Verizon and see if he wants to come over and go skyping with me!!! Sounds like fun!!!! She also mentioned "face time"...huh?? I wonder if BFF Bobby at Verizon wants "face time" with me??? OMD! I never new applications could b eo much fun!!

Sally!!!!!!!!So EXCITED!!!!! Face time is great, what kind of phone do you have? I have an Iphone and can Facetime with anyone else that has one for free. You just have to make sure you are not in your underwear LOL. It is an app that comes on the phone. Skype is also great. I have an account (my girls had to set it up for me) We could all get them and see Franklin live!!! Told ya there were good rescues out there. Hugs, Lori, Ty, C, L & Daryl
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.

Sally...sorry I googled him too. Now you know we aren't very good with secrets of this type, what were you thinking? We all love dogs and needed to see Franklin- he is a looker, Myrtle will have a lot of fun with him. You have so much love and kindness in your heart, they have to give him to you. Sahana I agree with you, with so many dogs needing good homes some rescues practically want your fingerprints. Anyone with a story like ours, deserve a rescue. Sally keep us posted, no need to hold back on the picture LOL. Sooo excited!
