Franklin, he was the Happiest Dog on Three Legs! Diagnosed 09/26/2012 with Osteosarcoma, amputated 12/4/2012. Had a wonderful 5 1/2 months painfree until he ran for the Bridge on 5/15/2013. Always in my heart, and always a guardian angel of my pack... You can follow his Tripawd Adventures, before and after, in my blog, Frank'n'Farter!
Oh My Goodness!!!!!! I'm so happy for you that you've been approved to be Franklin's new and forever mom!!!
And he is definitely one very handsome fella!!!
Congrats and I can't wait to hear and see more Franklin!!!

May you finally be healthy and running free at the Rainbow Bridge. Until we meet again my sweet boy!
OH MY GOSH, talk about ending 2014 on a GREAT note! I am just overjoyed!!! Welcome to the family Franklin! I agree with Christine, I think Franklin is a PERFECT name. I bet that picture of you and Myrtle with a space reserved for Franklin just melted all of the hearts at that rescue.
Maybe the transport that is bringing Deb's little Fannie Mae up this weekend (paws crossed) can make a stop in NC and pick up Franklin too!!!!

Congratulations! Everything happens for a reason. The first adoption didn't come through because Franklin was waiting for you. So happy for you and the family. You'll be a fine new mom, and Franklin is getting a great new family.
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Hip, hip, HOORAY,!! Franklin has in idea what a bed of roses he has fallen into. And, yes, Franklin it absolutely must br. Franklin Senior came up on my iPad, too.
Kathi and Murphy
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
Yikes! I am even typing like Sally...ahem, Myrtle.

Oh my golly. I haven't been in the forums in forever and the top topic was this one. I've been reading through and catching up... and then I saw the good news. Yippee... he is darn cute. How will you handle all the cuteness in that household between him and Miss Myrtle Mae? And, IF you figure out skyping, you gotta let me know. I'd be all for it.
So happy for you Sally. Can't wait to hear more and see tons of wonderful pics.
Karma, Adelaide and the crew, and always our angel Brendol
Adelaide is a young tripawd Husky, from an injury. Her amp was on 10/1/12. She has 4 sisters, Aissa (a senior border collie/chow), Maggie May (a puppy Great Pyrenees), Mathilde and Morrigan and 1 baby brother, Bagheera. We are all watched over by our angel Brendol, who was dx with OSA 1/30/13, amp on 2/6/13, and left us on 8/20/13.
You can read their stories at http://adelaide.tripawds.com and http://brendol.tripawds.com
How do I always miss important things here??!!!
It is definitely a Happy New Year at your house, Sally, and I couldn't be happier for you !! Lovin' the name Franklin, and you and Merry Myrtle are gonna be a whole lot merrier!!
Here's to an awesome 2015 for all !!
Much Love to you, my friend,
Bonnie & Angel Polly, and my sweet Pearl, too
Congratulations Sally and Myrtle for finding Franklin. It suddenly dawned on me that not only did you find Franklin but Sir John Franklin's ship the Erebus was recently found in the Canadian arctic (stuck in ice and sunk in 1846). You found your Franklin and Franklin will know he is the luckiest dog when he learns that he's found you!
All the best on your new "expedition" with your new addition, Sir Franklin.

p.s. I expect Puppy Latte Tuesdays will be over the top now!
Sally!!!
OMG, a Coonhound! Like our Cooper! He looks like a Bluetick Coonhound with a bit of Treeing Walker Coonhound thrown in to the mix :)! The ears look more Coonhound than Foxhound but who knows... And who cares, he is gorgeous! And you are an amazing soul to adopt an already-tripawd :)!
Coonhound tripawds unite! We have all paws cossed for you here in Montreal! We are 'first time Coonhound owners and love the breed!
Kerren, thanks for the post on the New Years forum, I had missed this!!!
Love and hugs,
