It's WordPress upgrade time again, and this one is major.
WordPress 5.0 introduces the new Gutenberg editor. This is an all-new editing experience for publishing blog posts and pages.

We'll be performing thorough compatibility testing prior to launching the new release which will install the new editor on all Tripawds Blogs . Post any related questions in this topic and we'll do our best to answer.
FYI: On a related note, these forums are being updated to SimplePress 6.0 prior to the WordPress update. This too is a major release, which we hope will address certain recently reported features. The release of Gutenberg in WP 5.0 should not alter the forum post editing process we all know here.

When are you testing and updating?
Guardian of Manni the Wonderdog. -Or was it the other way around?
Osteo and amputation in Dec 2015. Second, inoperable, primary osteosarcoma found in June 2017.
The end of our adventures came Dec 10, 2017. 2 years to the day.

Is there any reason this Guttenberg thing would change the way I've been adding pictures to my blog. .or TRYING roo? I've been doing it like I always do. It acts like it's downloading them for a couple of seconds, but never does.

The Tripawds Blogs
network is now running WordPress v.5.0.1.
We will not, however be activating the Gutenberg Editor on all sites until we have confirmed compatibility with the numerous themes and plugins used here to make the Tripawds community so awesome. In the meantime, the Classic Editor has been activated network-wide.
WordPress will eventually discontinue support for the Classic Editor. Current plans are to phase it out by 2021, but we will likely be migrating to Gutenberg long before then.
We encourage all Tripawds bloggers to become familiar with the Gutenberg Editor. Once suitable compatibility testing has been performed, and adequate feedback received from users, we will make the switch. Until then, rest assured that none of this affects performance of the TinyMCE Editor used here in the Tripawds Forums.

So, if my tavlet format in the forums has changed drastically since this morning, is it just a coincidence...temporary...or...shut up and get used it😥
This tabBlet (my larger one) did return back to the "normal looking format" the other day with all the normal bells and whistles I've grown accustomed to...the quote button came back...the size thing came back where I could make print bigger/smaller..etc.
The little tavlet I have, never returned to the normal, easy to use, format, so I'm just using the big one.
You can't wait and see if Jackie is having the same issues, as we have similar computers. It could just be mine.

No, we don't want that. The lack of response to our suggestion provided in that topic led us to believe the issue you encountered had been resolved, since we noticed you posting without any issues.
1. Have you performed these steps, on both devices?
Please Follow these Steps:
- Log out of Tripawds*
- Clear your web browser cache.
- Remove any browser cookies for tripawds.com
- Close and relaunch web browser
- Log in to Tripawds
2. Yes this is temporary, and device specific.
If the formatting reverted to normal before, it will again. Please take whatever steps you took last time to do so.
Network updates were also being performed during the time when this reply was posted. So all bells and whistles may not have yet been ringing.
3. Once is a fluke. Two times is a coincidence. Three times is a pattern.
We can help resolve issues once we identify the pattern.
We don't know what browser versions the larger tabBlet and little tavlet use. But if one has displayed the site correctly, the other one should be able to as well.
Please reply to this topic with any issues related to the forum formatting.
