I have been getting a ridiculous amount of trackback/pingback spam. Is there anything you can do to stop it, or am I going to just have to shut down my blog?Â

Smore is my tripawd kitty who adopted me one summer evening. She had an injury to her front left leg and had to have her leg removed July 17th. She was only 3 or 4 months old at the time. Now she moves faster than some four legged cats!

Yes, bloggers can disable trackbacks with the click of a button...from: Dashboard -> Settings -> Discussion

And...we've just done that for you! (Pingbacks have now been disabled on Smore's blog.)
Fighting spam is a constant battle and we are continuously taking steps to control it for all Tripawds Blogs . Various discussion settings are available in every member's blog, and we are continuously trying new plugins and tactics for reducing spam comments.

PS: It appears individual posts on Smore's blog have had this option checked, overriding the default setting....
