I'm hearing that 'members' are having some issues, too. I won't name names but I think it's happening to everyone. That could explain why it's slow on the forums?

Please rest assured that we are doing our best to investigate and resolve this issue. Looking forward to hearing feedback from moderators after turning off the Admin Bar. But please consider the following scenario...
If a moderator uses the Admin Queue to mark posts as read (or quick-reply), those posts will drop from the user's recent topics with unread posts list. The list will not update, however, until the front forum page is reloaded. So, if there are 12 unread topics, and the queue is used to read or reply to eight, the next time the front page reloads, there will only be four topics in the unread list. Could this be the case for any of you?
If not, could any moderator(s) continuing to experience the issue please provide me (Admin) with your login credentials via PM so we can test this when logged in using your account?
For the record, the forums have been busier this past week, than they have been in a long time. We are also continuing to discuss this issue with the plugin developer. Thank you for your patience.
Any "regular" members (non-moderators) care to confirm unexpected behavior using the Topics With Unread Posts List?

Also note that inadvertently clicking the small book icon next to the Unread Topics Page View icon will mark all your posts as read, emptying your Unread Topics List. Just trying to rule out all extraneous potentialities here, taking Occam's Razor into consideration.
Hi Jim,
I haven't had a chance to try the Admin bar yet- I'm not currently at home and am borrowing a computer and haven't been online much. I did want to report that I logged on about 30 min ago and there were 29 topics with unread posts (I thought the max was 20?). It said 29 in the breadcrumb bar, and I counted the lines. I had to go and closed the browser. When I just logged back on there were 4 topics with unread posts. I had only opened one before l closed out.
Also- I know I haven't clicked the little book icon- I don't think I have ever gone to 0 posts.
I have to go again- but wanted to report before I forgot. I will log back on later this afternoon when I get home.

Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog
Hahahaha!
I found a work-around. Don't login and then open another window and login. And then just go back and forth to see what you missed. It's some work since we can't sort each Topic by the last post but it can be done.
I've missed so many post I feel terrible. It looks like the mod pawd squad is on strike!

as a 'non-mod', regular type of person...i've had the red flags all disappear as well... i use comet's suggestion, where i keep two windows open, so i can always (maybe) have an idea of what i may not have read. on sunday, when i was reading, i used the 'back arrow' to go back to the list and 'BLAM', all of a sudden i was a guest, with no name and no red 'un reads'...geesh...glad it's not just me... good luck computer folks, this is making my bare feet hurt!!!

Well, we've been working hard with the developers to try and resolve this, but without being able to replicate the issue it's kinda difficult. If any Moderator is willing to provide their log-in credentials via PM (and tell us a good time when you may be offline) we can take a closer look. Thanks for your patience.

Thank you to those who provided login info. I have nothing to report, other than we're continuing to work with the developer to determine what may be going on.
FYI (cometdog): By disabling the Admin Bar and dsiplaying the Unread Topics, the Admin Queue will appear in the list, from which posts will disappear once an Admin reads them, or marks them as read. This is expected behavior.
FYI (krun15): The Unread Topics Page view does not show the Forum groups, only the list of topics with unread posts.
NOTE: We have removed the Unread Topics Page View (icon/link in breadcrumbs bar) to test a possible conflict there. Please advise if problems persist, and we'll report back as soon as we know more.
