Yes, this may cause the need for another step to assign any links to the pasted text. But it will ensure no extraneous code comes along for the ride.

Yes plugins and add-ons are extensions depending what browser is being used. We've found no reports of any of those reported being specifically identified as responsible for this ugly code business, but Amazon Assistant, Grammarly and Google Translate certainly could be based on their description.
