There is some possibility that Andrew might be able to come out to the walk and meet us all in person - cross your fingers and paws!

Some people say that the Internet detracts from forming real relationships.  I think our community and yesterday's event truly proves that is not always the case.  I am honored to met people who I consider friends through our global community!

Glenn and I both had such a wonderful time!  And of course, Murphy loved all of the attention!  I'm not sure that he'll ever eat dog food again lol, if he wakes up...poor thing slept almost the whole way home, and after we got home, and all night.

I'll post more pictures in Murphy's blog.

It was amazing the instant connection - Paula, Michelle & I talk most evenings in the chat room , so it's just like we've always known each other.  But others, just a couple of sentences, and you're like, oh yeah, I remember your baby!  And tears fall...  I think there's something cathartic about it all, too.  Who else can relate to this journey but someone who has also traveled it?  Someone who has faced those same fears and worries... We sat around and just talked and talked and talked.heart

Murphy had his right front leg amputated due to histiocytic sarcoma at 7 years old. He survived 4 years, 2 months & 1 week, only to be taken by hemangiosarcoma at 11 1/2 years 6/12/17

Truly was two memorable days!  Meeting all of you and feeling like I've known you forever was truly an amazing experience!  Meeting all your amazing tripawds and one Quapaw made my heart happy.  Our Angels were with us the whole weekend too.  Tears and smiles all weekend long.  So glad I was able to come and feel so "connected" to all of you!  Tripawds truly builds bonds like nowhere else.  Thank you to Jim, Rene & Spirit Jerry for your " vision" of what Tripawds could be and all your hard work in keeping it going along with all the people here that offer so much support and love to others.  Christine thanks for sharing Andrews info here I'll be sending out a thank you card to him tomorrow.  His "goodie bags" we're awesome, Riley is loving every single thing in that bag.  What a wonderful, giving man he is!  Glad everyone made it home safely it was one stellar weekend I will always remember!

WOW! clapWhat an unforgettable day for the Tripawds Nation! I'm all watery-eyed just looking at these beautiful pictures, thanks for sharing. We can't wait to see more!

How I wish we could have been there, but we thought about you all afternoon as we started our journey south from Colorado. We spent the day in one of the most beautiful places in the country, Pagosa Springs. We hadn't been there since Jerry was with us in person, in 2008. And boy we could feel that pup's presence so strongly.  As we thought of Team Tripawds in Illinois getting together for Puppy Up, a cause near and dear to us, and our sweet pup, it was a very emotional day. Thank you so much everyone for arranging this beautiful gathering, and carrying the spirit of the Tripawds Nation forward. Back in 2008 we never could have imagined it would be such a special place. Thank you thank you.

Wow! What and incredible weekend...it truly was one of the highlights of my life. The walk itself was good, but the best part was meeting everyone. I've never felt such an instant bond with anyone like I did with these people - it was like coming home. We started talking around 4pm on Friday, and didn't stop until almost 11pm, and there was not one second of lull in the conversation. There were many, many laughs, but also some tears. I hope, for some, it was the beginning of healing. I didn't want it to end, but I know these friendships will last a lifetime. Love you guys.

Here are a few pics, I'm going to post more in Nitro's blog....

Nitro 11 1/2  yr old Doberman; right front amp June 2014. Had 6 doses carboplatin, followed by metronomic therapy. Rocked it on 3 legs for over 3 years! My Warrior beat cancer, but couldn't beat old age. He crossed the Bridge peacefully on July 25, 2017, with dignity and on his terms.  Follow his blog entitled "Doberman's journey"
