Maybe they would let us use a room if they have one. Like a meeting room? Maybe check on that? I will give Lori and sherry a heads up and have them just come to the hotel?? Although we put it on the tripawds fb page too. So I don't know who all will show up?

Maybe they would do that. Not sure how many but do you want to check?? I know Donna will have Murphy but I think he is the only dog for Friday night. Lori won't be bringing hers and I don't think Sherry is on Friday night.

I know Paula, Linda, me, Donna & her husband staying at hotel. Lori & Sherry probably joining us. I am not sure who all else. I know a few said they couldn't make it Friday night but would be there Sat. So its not going to be huge I don't think?
I didn't see anyone respond on the FB page.

Donna...the Tribute Leash is for anyone currently on the journey and for thise who have headed to the Bridge as well. If a ribbon is made for someone currently on the journey and if they do end up heading to the Bridge, Karen puts white ribbon on it.
SMORE Also, I think we inly have ONE kitty ribbon so far and that's STEVE kitty currently on the journey. Hint!
HAVE AN ABSOLUTE BLAST EVERYONE!!!!

Well after doing a little research it appears dogs under 40 pounds are only allowed. So Riley won't be coming because he's 78#s. Bummer.
I realize this is an after thought, but I have found for a special event if you speak with the hotel manager, and explain the situation and if when dogs are extremely well behaved with a security deposit, they will make exceptions. I had a hotel do that with my neka when she was having surgery the following day and I never left her alone.

When I had called & asked what their pet policy was, they didn't tell me a weight limit. Murphy is 50lbs. They just said they have to be on a leash, no going into the restaurant, they can't be left in the room alone and $100 deposit.
Donna, Glenn & Murphy
Murphy had his right front leg amputated due to histiocytic sarcoma at 7 years old. He survived 4 years, 2 months & 1 week, only to be taken by hemangiosarcoma at 11 1/2 years 6/12/17

Hi guys! I am just getting around to reading all of these messages. I am a busy vet tech student. Unfortunately I will not be able to meet you all on Friday night. I have class until 9 PM. But I will be there early in Wheaton the morning of the walk to set up. Let me know when time you will all arrive!
Heather & Cadence
Cadence Faye: Born 10/30/04, stepped into our hearts 12/23/2004. Rear leg tumor found 7/24/11 by mom and dad, Xray on 7/25/11, Osteosarcoma suspected 7/26/11, amputation 7/29/11, Carboplatin started 8/23. Met free so far!
I will leave my house about 8:30, my guess is that I will get there about 9:15 or 9:30.
Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016. Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016. Lung mets August 25, 2016. Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016. Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma.
Wherever they are, they are together.
By the way, I just posted a very special thank you in connection with the walk to Otis and Tess' blog. I encourage you to read it. (Because I have no idea how to link it here.)

Can't come Friday, but I'm hoping to come Saturday with a friend. I'm guessing we'll just head over to wherever the tent is for tripawds to find you all since it sounds like a lot of you are in the same hotel.

Smore is my tripawd kitty who adopted me one summer evening. She had an injury to her front left leg and had to have her leg removed July 17th. She was only 3 or 4 months old at the time. Now she moves faster than some four legged cats!
Sounds good Tina. 🙂 We will see you there.
hugs
