So i noticed last night one of her front legs was swollen, vet said this means it's gotten to her lymph nodes and indicates this has progressed to the end 🙁

We can't put her through another day like the ones she's been having so Winnie is being set free this evening....

Ohhhh you guys I'm so sad to see this news. My heart breaks for you, and I don't blame you at all, you are absolutely doing what is best for sweet Winnie. May her remaining time with you be peaceful, pain-free, and full of love and all the treats in the world that she will eat.

This is such a tough situation, but you are being so strong and compassionate to your beautiful warrior princess. Please know we are standing by your side and keeping a candle lit for Winnie. If and when you feel strong enough to post again, we will be here. sp_hearticon2

Tears flowing....so very sorry....

Winnie will soon be whole and free and running  like the wind, tail wagging non stop.  Once she gets to the Rainbow Bridge she will have a feast of steak  and ice cream waiting her.  Kerry and Wyatt  Ray will be there to welcome her back home, along with all the other Angels at the Bridge.

Winnie will tell them all about the great earth life she had with you and how she wouldn't  have changed a thing as long as she could spend  it with you.♥️

On the next clear night when the Heavens are starlight against  the midnight sky,  there will be one extra sparkling  star that will catch your eye.  That will be Winnie's eternal light shining  brightly to let you know she's always with.......always.

We send love .......

Thank you everyone 🙂

She went SO peacefully last evening on our deck in the sunshine and our vet was amazing.  It doesn't feel right without her here, but i'm happy she's not suffering anymore.  She really was the best dog, everyone that met her would even tell us that 🙂

We still have our nine year old chocolate lab to comfort us.

RIP my sweet Winnie...

Thanks so much for checking  back in.  I know it was very, very hard.  And we know the days and weeks and more will be hard and sad.  The void left after so much focus on care giving and loving and spoiling seems unbearable  at first.

Take comfort in knowing  how peaceful her transition  was.  Clearly  Winnie was ready to go on her next adventure.  You gave her the gift of release at exactly the right time.

The happy times  will eventually  help heal your heart.  It takes time.  You gave Winnie such a great life.  She had so much joy and love and that's what she wants you to remember.

Give your sweet Lab some extra smooches for us.  And, when you can, we would love to see pics of both of these sweet pups.

Surrounding  you with our love...and Winnie's  eternal love

Awwwww it's good to hear from you. I'm so glad things went as smoothly as possible.

I know those feelings of relief, sadness, all of the crazy emotions that are probably running through you right now. It's the hardest decision ever and one we never want to make. But when we must, if everything goes according to plan, we can take comfort knowing we did right by our dogs. You absolutely did right by Winnie.

She's out of pain and she's free of the burden of her body that could no longer serve her. Now, her spirit is free to be with you forever, and all those memories you made together will light up your heart and in time, make you smile when you think about the good times.

We are here for you as you and the pack cope with life without her. Please feel free to drop in anytime and let us know how you're doing OK? ((((hugs))))
