Today Meg celebrates three years on three, in her own inimitable MegaStar style, with swimming and ballgames in the river, a kong stuffed with paté and chicken for breakfast, an afternoon of dog sudoku and moussaka and ice cream for tea. She will be updating her blog later, but I couldn’t resist just nipping in first to share three of my favourite pics, all taken in the last couple of months, of the dog they said could never cope on three legs. I am so grateful for the encouragement, advice and support of this community, which gave me the courage to give her a chance – and how she has seized it, what a dog! She is my greatest joy and inspiration and she fills me with happiness every single day.

Three on Three!  Well done Miss Meg.  Huge shoutout to the Megastar who doesn’t know the meaning of “cant”…..and we’re so grateful she doesn’t…..well at least thankful most of the time anyway.  I fear you’ve given Mum a few grey hairs along the way but all in all just a small price to pay. This deserves a huge party with steak, liver cake and ice cream!  Sending all my love on this monumental occasion!

Happy 3 on 3 Meg!  Your mum sure knows how to throw a party!

Meg is such an inspiration and such a testament to the resiliency of dogs.  Plus she is smart, sassy and has awesome bloomers!  I’m so glad you found us three years ago and have remained such a big part of our family.

And your pictures are amazing! Every picture I see of Meg or The Pie are so stunningly beautiful.
