Oh, get a Ripple picture please! I'm glad no green slime poop, lmao... I would not have expected that unless it was greasy and fattening or unhealthy lol.

You mentioned the sign and I got a chuckle. I'm sure he's no worse for the wear, he seems like a solid pup 😎

How about frozen non fat yogurt? Does that make the list?

Hugs,

Baxter, buddy, you can’t pull a Petra and blunder into sign posts! First off, it hurts the head and secondly, it hurts the ego!! Don’t let those bunnies get to you, they Ruv to tease puppies and then laugh as the drama unfolds!!

David please pass on to your parents that we are super happy to hear that Ripples surgery is a success so far! So if ice cream is out of the question for Ripple, can Baxter have it instead?!?! 🙂

Lovely to hear from you and you very sweet looking boy David.

All the very best and hugs to you both

Petra, Stewie, Spikey, Chessie, Lily and Teddy

It makes me so happy to see how you and Baxter have become good pals and are enjoying  being with each other.💕  Rocky knew yoj needed him...and he needed you...pickle fetish and all!😎

Baxter is quite the wildlife...er....."observer".  Thank goodness he's  on a leash.  I have a feeling  there would be a few less ducks and bunnies 🐥🦆🐰🐇🐰🦆

Baxter really is a happy dog...very secure with you.  Just like  Rocky planned it😎

Give Ripple an extra hig for us.  Looks like the ice cream may not be a food idea.  Maybe stick with...hmmm...... cream cheese on a cracker.

I thought I had a photo of Ripple on my phone, but I don't. I just need to remember to snag one off my computer and post it. He's a bit of a unique looking Cocker Spaniel. He's a Chocolate Roan Cocker (his actual name is Chocolate Ripple).

Baxter gave me a bit of a scare the other day. I got home from work and could hear him inside the house barking, but it was so high-pitched it was more like a squeal. I worried that maybe he had hurt himself. I get inside and he's still barking. But he runs to the back door, sees me and then takes back off through the living room. OK, so he's not hurt, but what the heck is going on?

I follow him through the living room and he goes to the front window. Laying out on the front porch is our neighbor's cat. I'd say she was sunbathing, but the porch is covered in shade. She paid no attention to us, but it drove poor Baxter wild that there was a kitty RIGHT THERE! and he couldn't get to her.

Rocky had his right front leg amputated on Valentine's Day 2017 after being diagnosed with osteosarcoma.

He joined the September Saints on September 3, 2017.

BAXTER!!!  OMD!!!!   That cat has a lot of nerve sitting on your porch taunting you like that!!

I ,love that you went to greet your Dad and then you took him to see that intruder on your porch!   Poor Baxter probably  was barking/shrieking at that cat for hours!!   "YOU JUST WAIT UNTIL MY DAD GETS HOME!!!    HE'S  GOING TO HELP ME CATCH YOU AND THROW YOU BUTT FIRST OFF OUR PORCH!"

The best "warm  fuzzy" part of the story  was Baxter going to get you and show you the reason he was so upset😎

Curiiis.  What woild Rocky have done in the same circumstance?

I don't know if he would have barked, but Rocky would have been glued to the window starting at the cat. Rocky didn't care about rabbits or squirrels, but he was obsessed with cats.

Rocky's dad said

Hehehe! I know the feeling Rocky! I bet all of those Spirit Kitty’s (all of my Special babies included 😉 at the Bridge are your best mates now, still teasing your obsession, but that’s half the fun isn’t it!! I’m thinking that you have passed on that obsession, the difference being is that Baxter is a whole lot more vocal about it! That’s not how a good hunting dawg stalks his fun is it?!? winker

Baxter, I sure am glad you had a barrier between you and said Kitty, ‘cause although you didn’t get to play with him, he got to enjoy an beautiful patch of sunlight for a while! (What a tease heh!?!) Good boy for sharing!big-grin

Rots Of Ruvin’ you and special Spirit Kisses to Baxter!

It was only a matter of time ... Baxter snagged a baby rabbit last night. He had the same look of satisfaction that Rocky had when he caught a cicada. I prefer them catching cicadas over rabbits.

Oh no! Poor baby rabbit. It’s hard not to get upset with them when it’s in their nature. My chocolate lab is obsessed with birds. She waits until they fly in the air then goes for the attack. (She can jump really high) Last time I got lucky though. I beat my dog to a baby bird who was learning to fledge and put him in a safer spot where she couldn’t get to him. Drove her crazy. She kept looking at me to open the gate. Nuh-uh. Buuut I did get to see the bird take off for its first fly. Which was pretty cool. Made my Chocolate lab even more mad, this time I think at me.

Cicada.....looked this up and it looks so weird. Glad I never seen one before.

No baby rabbits were injured or killed today. Although not for lack of trying.

In better news, here's the promised picture of my parents' dog Ripple. This is an old pic, so he was still pretty young here.

He is a beautiful dog. Glad his eyes are doing well.

Baxter has turned into quite the hunter, eh?  I wonder what breeds he has in him? He is just the most adorable compact little dude. He does not look like a hunting dog though lol 🙂

Good to hear that you are all doing well!
