Elly has earned two more Nose Work Titles
We are training and competing under the NACSW in anyone wants more information or to know the rules.
We have been taking classes for 1.5 years now and started going to Trials in May, so far three Trials, two each Element Specialties and last month NW1. I already reported on her Level 1 Title in Interiors in May, in June she earned her Level 1 Title in Containers and at the end of June she earned her Nose Work 1 Title.
In each Element Specialty Trial she did 4 searches in the element (Interiors in May, Containers in June) and had to pass all four searches to get her title.
In NW1 she did one search in each element (Vehicles, Exteriors, Interiors and Containers) and had to pass all four to get her title.
I'll get around to doing a blog post with more videos when life quiets down around here but I wanted to share this video of her Container Search from her NW1 Title. She was very fast, in fact got second place in that element out of 45 dogs, but that is not why I'm sharing. So far I haven't really worried about her speed, I'm just happy that she can ignore all the distractions and focus on 'the game'. This video shows how far she has come with her confidence- there were people on each side of the door we entered through and lots of people in the room. My favorite thing in this video is her body language- you can see how confident and focused she is!
And after a long day here is a pooped-out pup and her NW1 ribbons:

Wow Karen that is fantastic! She is so confident and sure of herself. AND the two of you just make such an amazing team.
I remember reading about how Elly was when you first adopted her. I can't even imagine her not being the confident, sassy, sweet girl that she has blossomed into with you. You have worked miracles with her and the love and happiness that just glow off of that little girl must make make you feel like a million bucks!
Way to go you two!
Big hugs ❤️❤️❤️

I forgot to add an important factor in our success...
I am using MegaWheels Rockin' Rollin' Liver Cake exclusively for our NW Trial rewards!
It's perfect- not too crumbly, I can cut it into any size I need and Elly LOVES it.

It REALLY is ASTOUNDING to see what you've accomplished with this sweet gal. The bond you've forged....the trust....the patience and undsrstanding...the commitment...all these things have helped Elly be Elly!! Layer by layer, you helped her pe3l away all the things that no longer served here and prevented her from being the great dog she is!!
I think we all feel like proud Aunties and Uncles of our little SuperStar Niece 💖💖 This video really reflects her growth on so many levels. Besides being one of the CUTEST Nose Work Dogs EVVVVER, she's so skilled at her task and is, indeed, confident and focused!😀 I dare say anyone who has never seen her work, jas no idea she's a tripawd!😎
CONGRATULATIONS KAREN AND ELLY!!!
Love and hugs

Grinning from ear to ear. Ditto all of the above. What you have achieved together is absolutely phenomenal. I agree re her body language. It speaks absolute volumes about how confident she is and how much she is enjoying working with you.
So pleased you are finding the liver cake helpful!
Lots of love to both of you,

GO ELLY! And you too, Mom! Wow I had to watch the video twice because she just knocked it out of the park so quickly I missed it the first time. How exciting!
Thank you for sharing the great news and the video, it's so fun watching her rack up the ribbons. We are indeed very, very proud of all she's accomplished so far!
