OMG!! Casper is adorable!!! He looks like a Magic 'mini-me' laughing. It looks like Magic is very interested in his new kittie... I'm sure that they will become the best of friends... and make for tons of cool pictures!!

I remember when we brought home our little kittie (Nala) after we lost Jake and Wolfie was so depressed... Wolfie fell in love with her from the beginning... Was always licking her all over and smelling her little butt... It's now been about 5.5 months since we have her... and they play together constantly... running around the house, and Nala hiding under the couch and then jumping out to attack Wolf's feet as he walks by. They sure keep us entertained..

Hopefully Casper will get over his resp tract infection soon... and you'll have one less animal to give medications too... although by now you're pretty much an expert!!

Enjoy the new addition to your family... Congratulations!!!superstar

first, thank you so much Cometdog for doing that (or was it your mom?) you are the bestest!!  I have the hardest time trying to see if the eyes really are a different color….I was holding him up and taking a picture…and I don't do very well with TWO hands…even with the kind of bad angle you can see they are a different color and I'm wondering if they will stay that way….(and the best part is the red rings DON'T SHOW...did you take that out??) he is asleep like a duck with his head bent..for this minute…oh trying to block off stuff in JUST this little room is a work in progress… I think it is a good idea to be there for a good amt of time as the two of them interact, just in case he decides he is hungry (um, that is Magic being hungry….I think Magic would be too big a meal for Casper.)

And Marguerite, that is the coolest pic ever….I mean the look on their faces…that picture should be somewhere…published somewhere…should be a cartoon thingee with a caption….what a GREAT picture…I recognize the description of the butt sniffing (in our case it is licking and slobbering…hope Casper doesn't harken back to his newborn days and start peeing and pooping when Magic licks) and the licking all over…I left the den for a second…if I scoot my chair in Casper has a place to retreat to since I blocked off the area where all the cords are that was his first choice…and when I came back, he was soaking wet in the back!!!

When you haven't had a kitten for a LOOOONG time, you forget how they can scoot around!!  I just want his eyes to be better…I don't see all that much change since I started the ointment and if it isn't better by tomorrow night he is going in on Thurs.  They just LOOK painful…maybe he will have red rimmed eyes for his whole life.  And now I have lots of assurance after looking at giant Wolfie and Nala that soon I won't even have to worry.

one more quick thing (oh sure) today was massage day and the gal said to HER Magic just looks energetic and bright eyed and she did notice the neck muscles were a little tight?  From standing in front of the computer desk, for a long long time each time he did it, ducking his head and licking at Casper last night when I first let them start interacting.  So I am hopeful this was an ok thing to do…

Hey D, massage day sure sounds nice. Glad that you got some hoppy feedback about Magic. From what I understand, all amputees will have some sort of tight muscles in the neck area, especially front-leggers. Just keep practicing your own skills and he'll keep on feeling good for a while to come.

….(and the best part is the red rings DON'T SHOW…did you take that out??)

Nope.  Your flash did.

I could look at Wolfie and Nala all day long!
