Murphy is closing in on two years since his total hip replacement. As you can see, he is also doing his obedience training at the Merry Myrtle School of Sometimes I Will and Sometimes I Won't. Nothing much slows him down these days.
The strange noises are the from the camera motor. Some day I will go get it fixed, but for now it works.

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
FINALLY get to see Murph not doing everything with 100% perfection!!!! Never thought Id see the day!!
I always showed Merry Myrtle the videos of Murphy AND Gus behaving so perfectly! I cannot tell you how pleased she is to see this video!!! She thinks she has a free pass now to never do anything I say again....which isntw much of a stretch!!
Murphy REALLY is beautiful to watch. To have been through everything he's been through...and to see him living life to the fullest....makes my heart smile.
You have a wonderful Guardian watching out for you guys...and laughing his butt off at Murph not being "perfect"!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
LOL, Sally. Garry just reminded me that when we took Murphy to puppy obedience class, the teacher dubbed him the Class Clown.

That is so fun to watch! I love how he just bounces around in that snow like it's not even there. His back leg looks so strong. How's he getting along in icy patches?

He does OK on icy spots. Most of the time we tell him to go slow or we say careful, so he knows what he is dealing with. We don't have many days where the ice is bad, so we are fortunate there.
I think that his leg has gotten a lot stronger since he decided he could climb stairs. He goes up and down several times a day now. His ortho surgeon has always told us that his remaining knee is "solid".

Good report on Mjrphy! I love that he's taken over stair climbing, although we will miss videos of the "Granny Buml!
Yeah. My Happy Hannah was always cautious when there was ice or snow in her ramp. She jjst knew to take kt slowly and she waited for me to walk beside her. Fortunately, she never fell! Can't say the same about me though! She would just stand by me, lick me in the face and let me lean on her to get back up. So I guess it was more like she was walking beside me rather than the other way around!
