Hey y'all! Thanks so much for all your support and for encouraging us to travel with the boy. While we didn't have a seamless journey -- he got picky about eating and started limping a little (both since checked out at the vet with no definitive diagnosis) -- we were grateful to get to bring him with us and proud of how well he did on the ~900-mile round trip. We're a little over six months past the diagnosis date and coming up on his six-month ampuversary (that'll be Nov. 7), and it was nice to have the relief of being officially done with chemo.
I said I'd share photos along the way, but uploading photos to these forums is kinda confusing, so here's an Imgur link where you can check out the whole thing. Captions written by Wabs but typed by momfriend because he's a terrible speller.

My goodness, that was quite a long "road trip"! But you certainly had all the comforts of home with your mats and beds!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

And possibly my favourite picture is of you in the car, you are such a cartoon character, Wabs, you remind me of the squirrel in Ice Age with that mad, goofy, crazy expression 😄

Eurydice 77kg/170lb Great Dane limping end of April 2016, amputation (right front leg/osteosarcoma) 4 May 2016 6 courses of carboplatin followed by metronomic therapy, lung mets found 30 Nov 2016. 3 courses of doxorubicin, PET scan 26 Jan 2017 showed more mets so stopped chemo. Holistic route April 2017. Lung X-ray 5 May 2017 showed several tennis ball size mets, started cortisone and diuretics. Miss Cow earned her XXL silver wings 12 June 2017, 13 months and 1 week after amputation and 6 1/2 months after lung mets, she was the goofiest dawg ever and is now happily flying from cloud to cloud woof woofing away :-)
