They have removed the bandage and the catheter, the vet says he is fine, now the vet has said that he has to be resting.

YAY! That's a big step. The incision looks good!

And yeah, keep her rested so that she doesn't hurt herself.

By the way, is Jara a boy dog or a girl dog? I keep calling her "she" but then I see you called Jara a "he." Not that it matters really but I'm just curious. Thanks!

She is a dog, the translator is a bit bad. Today at the vet he told me that they have discussed Jara's case with other vets and they say that these races so soon are not normal.

Been following Jara's journey and am dso pleased how well she is doing so very early on in recovery.

And yes, she definitely  needs to take it easy right now.  Just short leashed potty breaks and then back in for more rest.  It is good new s that she feels so good though!!

Really enjoyed seeing  her pictures, as well as your adorable pack. Made me smiles seeing all that cuteness!

Thank you very much, benny55 for those words of encouragement, sometimes although I know that it is the best for Jara, sometimes it makes me sad to see her without the paw, I hope that with the passage of time I get used to it.

Since he shouldn't run, Jara throws the toy at me and I give it back to him.

You'll definitely get used to seeing her with one less leg. In time you'll forget she used to have four! It takes time, but you'll see that she adjusts faster than you do.

The doctors are right, she (girl dog!), is super energetic. It's nice that you have a good team helping her get strong and beat cancer.

I can't see the video. Bummer!

Jara has lost her appetite a bit, I'm giving her some boiled chicken with her meal.

When she hears the pill blister she hides.

Jara is stunning.  And clearly a very smart doggy who knows how to avoid taking her pills!

Yeah, boiled chicken, maybe with some rice,  cheeseburgers....anything yummy she will eat.  The meds may be upsetting her tummy a little which is why she doesn't  want to eat.

Is she doing okay otherwise?

She looks so comfortable.....and that's  a beautiful  yard area you have

She looks so relaxed and enjoying the sunshine. I wish I could hang out with her!

When you give her pills, don't hide them in her meals. She's smart, she will smell them. Instead try wrapping them in something like melted cheese. See:
