I almost feel guilty to say that my lovely labradoodle Luna went in for her 18 month checkup today and she is free of any signs of lung Mets or cancer progression. But I am absolutely thrilled and wanted to share hope and good news with others.
I haven’t posted before, but have used the Tripawds site and all of your stories since she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in early December 2018. She had her front left leg amputated a few days later and she was only 3 years old. We were lucky in that it was found very early but the prognosis was so bad, with or without chemo, that my primary vet and I decided to forego chemo and let nature take its course. Although she was expected to pass by June 2018,here we are almost a year later and doing fine.
i still panic any time she seems off, or coughs, or has a stomach problem but so far so good. There were many times I had very little hope and was so sad for Luna, for me, for all of her family and fans. But there is hope. Today was proof.
We send our love and good karma to all of you!

Thank you j sooo much for sharing this SPECTACULAR GREAT NEWS about your SPECTACULAR LUNA!!! It is sooo important to hear about victories like rhis!
We always say statistics don't mean much around here and Luna is exactly why we say that! And then add the question of whether to do chemo or not, and Luna has shown us that it's more or less a crap shoot!
We are so appreciative to you for sharing this with us. Hope is the most therapeutic treatment we can ever give our dogs and cats. Luna puts a face (-or mug) on hope😎
Hugs

And your story is why we all fight so hard to give them a chance, YAY for Luna! I am so glad that she has done well, and way to go for catching it so early in progress. I love hearing the stories about the warriors that go through the process and win... and win is indeed what you have done.
Thank you so much for sharing your story, I would also love to see pictures!

Hi Nancy. This is also Nancy.
That is wonderful news! If I may ask was there any special diet or supplements for Luna. I know every dog is different, but I am always interested in what others do..
CONGRAULATIONS LUNA! KICK THAT CANCER IN THE BUTT! YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION!
My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019. With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer. I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud! He will live forever in my Heart!
