We have been a part of the tripawds community for almost a year now. So far it has been an amazing journey and the level of support and feeling of family here is amazing! My sweet TriPod will be turning 3 next Thursday, January 16th. It's hard to believe he has been back with us now for over a year.
I am overwhelmed by the number of lives he has touched in one short year. Through his Facebook page http://www.face.....com/mrtpod, his team page http://www.face.....teamtripod and through the tripawds community at http://tpodmom......-about-me/ he has found many new friends, followers and fellow tripawds. We have laughed with them, we have cried with them, we have exchanged cards and gifts with them and they have truly become our friends even though we have never met.
Through the Warrior Canine Connection we have learned about the life of service dogs and have become part of the EPW's (Extreme Puppy Watchers) a group of amazing people who follow the lives of these amazing service dogs from the time they are born until the time they are placed with there service person.
Mr. T attended several local Golden Meet-ups including Golden's in the Park in June and Splash Days. We also helped did the Wiggle, Waggle Walk for Woods Humane Society. The theme was superheros......he was Captain T Pod.
We ventured to Huntington Beach one weekend and met some PAWmazing dogs and their people. I got to swim with Surf Dog Ricochet and Rina, meet Remington and a PAWsome group of people from the Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue, briefly meet Beans the Whippet right before her surfing debut, hang out with Emma Zen and Baby Banks from the Emma Zen Foundation and swim swim swim. TriPod has become a true spokes dog for some great canine causes and we plan on continuing as much as we can. On Feb 22nd we will be "hopping" against K9 Cancer for the Morris Animal Foundation in San Diego. He will be wearing a vest that is being sent to him by a tripawds member who just lost her sweet Mattie last month. TriPod will be "hopping" in her memory with a picture of her pinned to her vest. And of course we will be talking about our tripawds community as we always do......maybe even meet a few of the So. Cal members.
We are in the beginning processes of becoming a certified therapy team so we can visit with Wound Warriors, at children's and senior centers.
TriPod is without a doubt one of the sweetest, happiest, orneriest pups I have ever had ;)....he is ALWAYS happy and loves everyone, everything and just life in general. He has changed my life in ways I never thought possible and I can't wait to see what he has in store for us this next year.

WOW Denna it's already been a year? In some ways it feels like you've been a part of this community forever, you and TriPod have done so much to raise awareness and make this world a better place. THANK YOU!!!
He's a real celebrity! What a cool thing to have met so many folks who are changing the world in great ways. I wish we could have been there to see him swim at the beach in SoCal, we were just in that area recently. Do you have any photos?

Would you perhaps be interested in carrying the Tripawds Tribute Leash when you do the walk? If you're going alone and it's too much to handle I understand but if you can do it we'd be honored.

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
