Wanted to share my happy thought for today!

Roane re-discovered the pond, the frogs were calling her! She decided to dip her front half in when mom wasnt looking and at that point she was committed! Our pond is shallow with low rock walls and no steps. So with one back leg the only way to get out is to get in lol. With moms help 😉 let me tell you helping a wet, muddy, 130 pound dog out of the pond with the bag sling was a laughable experience!

She was sooooo pleased with herself she did a victory zoom around the garden and a very enthusiasts roll in the grass!😁😁😁 i havent seen her move so fast or so much since she had 4 legs!

We're both soaking wet and smell like the swamp thing and i cant even begin to tell you how happy i am about it!!!🎊🎊🎊🎊

My sweet soulmate Roane was diagnosed with osteo in June of 2019. Had a rear leg amp on July 2nd & crossed the rainbow bridge to be with her sister Gypsy on the first day of Autumn Sept 23 2019.

Aww how I wish we were there to see it! But from what you have described it sounds like a hilarious scene! Roane and Mamma Swamp Thing...I love it! smiley_clap

What a great time. I'm so happy the bandanna is her color, thanks for the pic! And her fur is looking soooo good, it's growing in fast.

roane pupdate. we are officially 2 months post amp,  and over all doing well. We had a minor set back a few weeks ago when we tried to take her off meds.  The first week was good but by the begining of the second week we hit the wall. She started getting very lethargic to the point where i was pretty much forcing her to go out. Then she stopped eating.  Thanks to this site and all the reading ive done here the light bulb clicked on in my head and i was able to say duh! Shes in pain! 2 days back on the carprophen and she was her happy self again! Our vet was in 100% agreement for a maintenance program of meds. Shes a big girl to be hauling around on one back leg. 😉

We also had a lovely kitchen remodel compliments of roanes daddy. roane now has a "red carpet" pathway through the house. I tried some long runners orginally but they weren't cutting it.

daddy did a beautiful job!

Tomorrow we go for a chest xray since she started coughing/gagging around the same time we had an issue with the meds. Not going to lie I'm terrified.... i know its inevitable i just want her to be happy for as long as she can be. Fingers crossed. 🤞🤞🤞

HAPPY HOPPY TWO MONTH AMPUVERSARY  BEAUTIFUL ROANE 😊  Ice cream and cake for everyone!🍨🍧🍰🍦🍰

And a lot of hacking and coughing seems to be going in with a lot of dogs due to  allergy season has been in full swing. This has been the case with dogs that hadn't  shown any allergy symptons before.  Sending extra pawsitive energy from all uour Tripawd Family straight to Roanefor a good check up.

Thank you both for the support and pawsitive thoughts ❤ im hopping its allergies or at least not as bad as im imagining. I had a small panic attack when it first started! shes so much happier now that we got her pain meds figured out. So the coughing made the whole thing bitter sweet. On the upside my vet is wonderful as always. She got her scheduled for the next morning no questions asked. There care of both my girls has been just spectacular.

A little over a month ago Brownie was hacking and I thought for sure his cancer spread to the lungs. It was allergies. As others have said when we are dealing with cancer we freak out on little things. I even freaked out on a pressure sore!

Let us know how is goes

My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019.  With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer.  I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud!  He will live forever in my Heart!

Well we just picked roane up at the vets. Her xrays were not what i was hopping for..... They came back with lung Mets😭.... they took her off the carprophen and switched her to meloxicam to keep the inflamation down and make her more comfortable. Shes also trying mirtazapine to see if we can stimulate her appetite.

So for now we keep an eye on her breathing and give her lots of belly rubs and chicken and Belly rubs and ice cream lots of ice cream. ❤

I'm so sorry! I met a greyhound at one of Riot's appointments that has mets with no spread for 6 months, and still doing well. Entyce was our wonder drug.

Oh Bev I am so sorry 😢  I have not dealt with this before,  but if it's any consolation I believe there are several here that did ok for a while with proper management.

Sending you the biggest hug,  I know this is not what you wanted to hear. No doubt everyone will be in here soon to help give you better advise than i could.

I hope and pray that they can get Roane comfortable and feeling better.  Holding you in my thoughts and sending you as many positive vibes as I can

Thank you both so much!❤

im trying to be optimistic but really im heart broken. Except for the cough She seems so happy! Our vet didnt have much to say so i figure we just keep a close eye on her and make her as happy as we can.

I gave my notice at work last month after 9 years. i was scheduled to be done oct 1st. But Im thinking im going to see about moving the date up. What i need is to be with Roane. 2 months notice was a courtesy and slightly silly since they have wasted a month not looking for someone to replace me. What ever time roane has left im going to spend with her and make it special. ❤

Big hugs and thanks for the support!
