Once I felt brownie recovered enough it was too hot. We are having a extremely hot summer in Texas. Here we are almost mid September and is was 98 degrees. However, we did get some rain today. Brownie’s last outing is when he met Maggie and you saw by the pictures how hot it was. No way am I putting him in a car. Hopefully next month.
By the way, i do talk to Grizzlys dad often, and Grizzly is not doingbreal well with is mobility. This is a dog that went on 3 mile hikes everyday for the last 11 years. He is one year younger then Brownie. We are hoping to get them together soon.
On a side note we have decided when the time comes Brownie and Grizzlys ashes will be scattered together at their favorite park you see in the photo. But we are hoping that will be awhile! Brownie had another friend, Hemi but he passed about a year ago from cancer. HATE CANCER.
Oh gosh that’s right, that crazy weather is not dog friendly!
I’m sorry to hear about Grizzly, poor guy. I hope his pop can find ways to help him feel better. And yes, the Rainbow Bridge is a long way away for those boys.
Cancer. Ugh. Sorry about Hemi.
So Brownie so his hollistic vet regarding his bowel issue. She is convinced it is his age. She doesn’t want to put him on any meds because his stool is normal and doesn’t want to make him constipated. She said to start him back on chiropractic and laser treatments to keep his spine straight. We will when it cools down. We have a cold front in a couple of weeks. High 80’s YEA! She also said even though he wants to sleep the key is to keep him moving! And thinking about it this started when he started sleeping all day, so whether Brownie likes it or not he will be joining in on indoor play time with Max and Sassy until it cools off and we can go on walks again.

Sounds like your Holistic Vet has a good handle on suggestions for Brownie.
Would only add doing some gentle warmup massaging, before he gets up for “play time”, and then again after. I know the short walks when it gets cooler will help a lot too. Aging ain’t easy!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
