On the other hand is this a sign Brownie is doing better?

I like that rationale, so let go with it!!

And you are sich a Saint for that little kitty that headed to the  bridge.  I know the cat was very comforted   by your loving energy❤

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Thank you. I don't like choosing medical attention between two animals, but I could Not stop Brownie's treatments and they were not  even sure the kitty would of make it. It sucks! I feel really bad about it but at least he had people with him went he went to the bridge instead of going off somewhere and dying alone. I feel like he came back to me for help but all I could do his put him down.

My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019.  With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer.  I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud!  He will live forever in my Heart!

Could be Brownie is feeling better and Sassy senses that.  How were they before all of  this?

Could also be a one time fluke but I would keep a close eye on it.

Definitely a possibility for jealousy,  but how you handle it early could definitely determine the outcome.

We have to monitor Bo and Mitchell closely.  That might end up being your new normal for a while. We've had to let them interact and then call kennel to Bo when he gets out of hand. ( but he's young ) Whether it's permanent or temporary really somewhat depends on their previous relationship.

I guess be careful and be alpha dog would be my honest unprofessional opinion.  As long as you are always alpha dog I think you'll be ok.

I know that's clear as mud but I think you'll understand it.

Set boundaries and don't leave them alone and unattended for a while if you are able.

Sassy had always challenged Brownie. She only stopped right before his limp. Nothing happens that I know of when I'm not home. She wants to be top dog.  I'm top dog, then  brownie, and sassy. I think she wants brownie's spot in the pack. Brownie doesn't care about his spot.

I meant Me, Brownie, Max then Sassy. Definitely not a one time fluke. Brow ie doesn't want any part of it.

I understand that totally.  Mitchell has no alpha desires whatsoever but Bo has this desire to get his attention, and when mitch ignores him then he plays the alpha card 😱

That's when mama alpha has to get involved and lay the law down.  It is a total work in progress every day.

I don't think Bo has any desire to hurt mitch but it's a pita when mitch want's to go upstairs and Bo becomes a four legged wall standing in front of him to stop him and trying to herd him away from the stairs, lol. "Kennel up" is usually my choice of words to give Mitchell a break and Bo is doing really well with it. It took a bit of practice but when things get hairy it has become our routine.

Other then Sassy being jealous she is such a good dog. Brownie chooses to hop away but sassy will keep on. Brownie then will put down the law and Sassy is sent to her room. I habe to separate het a treat time because when she is done she will go for Brownies treat. I mean she will take it right out of his mouth and Brownie will let her have it.

Sassy is a stray and probably has never had a stable loving home. I get that. But we are going on 3 years now. Sometimes they will be like best friends. I think it's a brother sister thing...

How is your vacation going?

They sound so much like Bo and Mitch,  lol. Bo is also a great dog but he's jealous of mitch,  the cats,  lol he even wants in when I get a hug from my husband🤣🤣

We try to be very consistent with him and it seems to be paying off.

Having a great time with the family and I'm in grandkid heaven 😁😁😁😁

Missing my fur babies but they're all doing ok ❤

Bo is getting better, lol. He definitely likes to be part of the "group hug" lol. It took him a while to start "getting it", but he is. He used to bark if David hugged me and he was not included in that hug smiley5 I think in his mind we are all "his pack" (cats included) and his job is to make sure he knows what we are all doing at all times and make himself a part of any chore that we are involved in!

If we are watching TV and I get up to pour some soda or get ice, Bo can be totally konked on the couch but as soon as my feet are on the floor his eyes are open and he is watching me, hahah. If there was a need to use the "ladies room" somewhere in that and I have not come back in like 30 seconds, he is off the couch to make sure I didn't stray too far from the pack and that I am ok, lol. He is a total riot!

IS BROWNIE PLAYING MOM?

So when Brownie knows I am watching him, he will hop really slow like he is having a hard time.  I will then go over to him, check him out, and tell him what a good dog he is, and yes I may give him a treat.  But if I yell out "it's cookie time" he runs to me, across the yard, barking with excitement and it's like he is running on four!  And I don't think it's the heat, because he does the same thing indoors.  If he had his choice between me or a cookie, I think the cookie would win.  LOL....

Hmm. Well being that he's food motivated, I can see why he goes crazy. Will he act like that for anyone else or just you?

Have you tried the ol' massage / palpation tricks to make sure he's not having any detectable muscle pain?
