Makes sense Sally what you said about his anal muscles. When he makes it outside it's brown and soft, but not runny. When he doesn't it's dark and hard.
His xray was clear in April, so a little nervous. But if it's mets we will deal with it.
My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019. With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer. I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud! He will live forever in my Heart!

Well....got the results from Brownies xray today. I never thought I would be happy to say Brownie has a touch of bronchitis. No mets. So relieved!
Also his primary care vet said he had 3 months at time of being diagnosed with amputaion only, and we are going on 5 months. YEA Brownie!

Hugs ❤ Bev, nurse Moe cat, Autumn's Angel Roane & Angel dog Gypsy 🐾
My sweet soulmate Roane was diagnosed with osteo in June of 2019. Had a rear leg amp on July 2nd & crossed the rainbow bridge to be with her sister Gypsy on the first day of Autumn Sept 23 2019.
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
So how often do you think chest xrays should be done. I was so excited about no mets I forgot to ask about the poop.

YEAH!!! That's fantastic news!!!!
I believe X-rays are typically recommended every three months with osteosarcoma. But remember there is no rule that says you have to. Do whatever feels best for you both.
I hope your cold is better Nancy. Thanks again for the pupdate.

I am much better and so relieved. A little love goes a long way, but in this case a lot of love!
I don't no if you heard about the stray cat. Brownie and I was in the garage and he started barking. One finally came back bit he was skin and bones. Also his head was busted open from his eye to the back of his head. It was full of magnets. So I brought him in and cleaned it up. He was dying. So I made the trip to the ER. By the time i got there, there was more magets. I could smell the infection! They said he looked like he was attacked by a dog. He needed surgery and about 4 months of non stop care. I was going to do it but they said it would be between three and four thousand dollars. With Brownie expenses I just could not do it. They suggested putting him down because it would be a lot to put him through so I stayed with him while he took his journey to rainbow bridge. I asked them if he would of came back sooner would of of made a difference. They said no.
If I find the owners of that dog, well you know.... I have a feeling kitty is not coming back.
I did find out they are also a general practice vet. I told them Sassy needs her yearly but she has fear aggression. The doc told me they practice fear free handling of pets. They nevet pin amimal down. That is what Brownie hates and gets him stressed and he constantly has to be sedated for an xray. I will go to them next xray. The doc also has a tripawd so when I get the flyers I will be sure to take some there.
Got Brownies tag today and love it! You do such good work! His harness is going to be jacked up with his buttons and tag! I will send you a pic of the harness once I get the tag on. And Thank you for Sassy's tag. That was really sweet!
Renee, you told me about this when I joined the site and o told you how stresses Brownie gets.

Nancy, wow, what an update.
I'm sooooo sorry about the kitty. What an angel you were to that little guy during his last minutes on this earth. You helped that poor kitty out of his suffering, that was truly a bittersweet blessing! So sad though.
And to find a Fear Free vet? With a Tripawd? OMD! I swear that kitty was an angel in disguise himself. What a gift that vet will be for Brownie! I'm so excited he can have a gentler experience at the vet now. You'll have to let us know how it goes.
Glad you liked the Guardian Angel tags! xoxo

Brownie and I are pulling for you and Ronnie. His vet said, and as well as people on this site when our pet has cancer we tend to freak out on little things and jump to conclusions. Ronnie is going to be just fine I truly believe! Besides Ronnie is young, strong, and just so dam cute! Makes me want to get a pug.

Here we go again! The Sassy and Brownie dual. I was sitting in my recliner and the dual begins behind me. No one is hurt it's just a lot of growling and pushing but I know Sassy starts it so she is in time out for 30 minutes
About a week before Brownie started limping Sassy stopped challenging Brownie all the way thru amputation like she knew. Tonight was the first time. But I don't know why tonight she challenged Brownie again. Any suggestions or ideas.
On the other hand is this a sign Brownie is doing better?

Hmmm. Well we're a one dog family so I'm not the best person to comment. But I'm thinking you're correct: Sassy senses that Brownie is up for a challenge!
