Oh YEA! I forgot the one video with Grisley was x-rated at the end. Lol! Sorry about that..
My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019. With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer. I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud! He will live forever in my Heart!

I did right Brownie a love letter that I read to him from time to time
I got the idea from a book titled "My dog is dying: what do I do? I know the title is depressing but it's a good read with wonderful ideas.
Another good book is "The Amazing Ater Life of Animals". Some of the stories gave me chills.
Are you still doing the book exchange?

I would love to pay it forward. Brownie had just had his amputation when I joined this site. But I was researching before his amputation and found all of you. I was treating him with meds because of his age and I thought it was best. But his pain got worse and one day I saw a golf ball size lump. My fear was he may fracture his leg when i would be at work and he would be laying on the floor all day in pain. I didn't know what to do. But when I read all the stories and the advise that was given amputation was the only answer. I can't help but think if I would have not amputated he would most likely be on his way to the bridge.
No one knows how long he has but at least now we have quality time together and I get to make his final days full of love, spoiling him more then he already is. Otherwise his final days would of been in pain and doped up.
I really admire what all of you do!

Jackie, my outdoor kitty (the stray) has been missing for 5 days. I have been taking care of him for 3 years and he has never taken off. I am worried!

Oh goodness...I hope he's ok. Brings back Huck flashbacks.
If you leave food or for him keep doing it. You say stray, feral or domestic? Can you handle him? I pray he comes back ok.
We couldn't handle Huck, he was totally feral. Is it possible somebody took him in?

Well, he lets me pick him up in the garage but if he is outside he will come to me to eat but he won't let me touch him. It took two years for to be able to touch him at all so I don't think he would go to anyone else. He also showed up at my work and I had to set a trap to bring him home. No way would he be an inside cat. So semi ferrel.
He shows up like clock work. 6 am and 6pm. On the side of my house there is a large group of trees. After he eats he goes under the fence in those trees. Unless the weather is bad he stays in the garage. There is a kitty door. He never goes far. But he has a couple of friends and I haven't seen them either.

Wow, has he been neutered? He may have other places that he is visiting too while you are at work. I mention that because I am wondering if somebody tried to trap, neuter, release them. We have groups here that do that fairly often for the ferals and strays. Matter of fact that is how I ended up with Huckleberry as a full time resident, lol. He was a super feral boy that I could not even touch no matter how much time passed. He disappeared for over a month while we were planning his trap, neuter, release only when he came back he was injured and his leg had to be amputated.
I would keep leaving food out for him, in smaller amounts if you have not seen him, and see if he comes back. Once in a while Huck would disappear for a few days but he always came back. Do you have one of those cameras that you can see activity from your phone to place out in the area to keep an eye out for him? Keeping my fingers crossed for you that he is just on a spring jaunt with his buddies and will return safely soon.
Hugs,
Jackie and Huckleberry

Yes, I did the trap neuter thing with kitty, but I dont know about the others. I do have food out and it's gone in the morning but it could be a racoon or something. No camera. I was going to go look in the trees but scared of what I might find. On the other side of the trees there is another neighborhood. I am going to keep looking there.

Keeping fingers, toes, paws, and tails crossed for you. If they notched the tip of one of his ears like they did with Huck then that kind of rules that out.
Sometimes they just do their own thing for a little while, especially now that the weather's getting nicer.
Hopefully you'll see him soon❤
