July 2011 We finally removed the lump on his right elbow. The lump on his heel grew quickly. The one on his elbow had been growing for over a year, but never bothered him.

I think he wondered what I did to him. He knew I acted out of love and recovered well.

March 11, 2012 Bruno was excited that I returned home from my 2 week visit to help my brother recuperate from back surgery.

Based on the size of his cancer I am sure it was starting to bother him. I see a lot of his weight is on his left front paw, barely using his right front leg.

April 7th. He had been limping the 5th & 6th. I squeezed his paw and looked for thorns or cuts. On the 7th I was determined to find this issue that caused him to limp so squeezed his paw all the way up to his leg. When I reached his humerus he yelped. I took him to petsmart got Tramadol and joint supplements.

May 11, 2011. He didn't feel well enough to come up stairs to visit with friends' dog. I told him he just has to wait until Thursday.

I will give updates. I will drop Bruno off Thursday morning around 7:30 and pick him up around 5 after work. I think he is ready; his right leg has atrophy.

Last two pictures were taken yesterday. Boy, he looks much bigger in the one where he is standing at the bottom of the stairs. He is now at 65lbs as of Thursday. In July he was 70 ish. In April he was 61 lbs.

Hey so glad you figured out the photo thing! He is one handsome, strong boy. I know he'll bounce back quickly and get that burliness back.

We will be thinking of you and sending healing thoughts your way. Please keep us posted.

Jackie, Angel Abby's mom

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
