I am so sorry for your loss.  I wish there was more I could say.  There are really no words of comfort to make you feel better.  Just know that you are not alone and that Tripawds is here to help you through your grief.  This awesome group of people helped me through when I lost my Chili Dawg and without them I don't know what I would have done.  Use them to help you through your grief.  Their shoulders are strong.

Sending you hugs.

Jenna, Spirit Chili Dawg, Finchy, & Buster

Diagnosed with OSA: 5/2/2011 Ampuversary: 5/11/2011 OSA returned in hip: 8/26/2011
Chili Dawg crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 8/30/2011 & is now pain free. He was my heart dog, and I miss him every day.

I, too, am so shocked and saddened at the loss of Diva.  She was a truly beautiful girl, and she will forever be a beautiful spirit looking over you.  Sending hugs to you,

Catherine and Spirit Scout

Scout: January 31, 2002 to November 7, 2011

Scout's diagnosis was "poorly differentiated sarcoma"; amputation 1/11/2011.  Scout enjoyed 9 fantastic years on 4 legs and 9 glorious months on 3 legs.  If love alone could have saved you…

There are no words except to say how very very sorry I am. The dog lovers here all understand your shock, grief, and broken heart. We support you and are thinking of you. You're right - there's nothing fair about it.

K, an 8 year old chocolate lab, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma of the radius and ulna on 12/23/11. She had stereotactic radiation to kill the bone tumors, and 3 rounds of carboplatin. On 3/16/12, lung mets were found. We tried several different kinds of chemotherapy to slow the lung mets but none worked. Finally, mets appeared at other sites, including her spine. She earned her angel wings on July 15, 2012. K changed my life, and I'll never forget her. Our/my journey is chronicled at romp-roll-rockies.blogspot.com.

I am just so very sorry.  As much as we struggle to figure out why something so heartbreaking and unfair can happen to the ones we love, there really are no answers.  Just know right now, you are not alone in your grief.  And maybe this knowledge will bring you some small amount of comfort.

Sending you strength,

Rio's momma, Micki

I am so sorry too.  This happened to another beautiful girl here, her name was JD.  It was so sudden, so awful 🙁  , just like with your girl.    I know that Diva realized you were fighting for her life, trying to take away the pain.

We send our prayers your way, and for Diva, may she be running free now.

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us.  Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.

In your heart, where I belong.

I thought about JD and think it might help Diva's mom to read that story, but I don't know where it is. Can someone link to it? If she knows she's not alone, there's value there.
