Hi! So, this is the difference between hemangioma and hemangiosarcoma: http://www.askj.....php?id=368

Other than surgery, we can treat her basically with cough syrup till we see how the mass evolves. It is good news since we can control it with time, we don't really have to rush anything until she shows signs.

About 3 days ago I found two small lumps, one in her neck near her surgery scar and another in her back leg, both smaller than a cereal ball. Going to have her checked out again this week.

This is so frustrating, in a way. Is hard to see your dog have disconnected diseases and not know the source of it all. :/

Augusta, thank you for that explanation, that's perfect.

I'm wondering if any of these remedies for coughing related to lung metastasis from osteosarcoma will help:

How to Help Coughing From Lung Mets

Try not to panic about the two lumps, they could be anything. We like to say around here, keep calm until you know what you're dealing with. It could be something as harmless as a pimple! We had that happen once with Wyatt Ray . We hope that's all it is. Stay strong and know that your girl just wants you to be happy and live every day to the fullest without worrying about tomorrow. You can do it!

Hey, everyone! Cytology came back with results, the two small lumps are probably another low grade sarcoma. We are having them removed along with the thoracotomy for the lung mass after another x-ray in mid-november. She started on prednisone and is coughing way less!

I really hope the K9 Immunity I ordered gets here before surgery, she is doing perfectly but I would like to see her stronger for another major procedure like this. :/ Wish us luck!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Hey, everyone! Sorry being gone this long, I'm graduating in college in a few weeks and everything has been a little busier than usual.

About the two lumps: gone. Seriously. They disappeared overnight, I tried feeling them again but... nope. Miraculously gone for no reason. I still search for them, but have not found anything.

About the prednisone, she started with a small urinary incontinence that got massive after a few days, most likely due to the amount of water she was drinking, adding up to being spayed too soon when she was 6 months (it can damage these functions when they get older). I got worried at first, did an ultrasound but bladder is clean. At this point, we had already stopped with prednisone and also with the cough syrup and I was giving her the K9 Immunity that had just arrived. ALSO MIRACULOUSLY, she has not coughed ever since being just on K9.

So no thoracotomy for this lady, then!

Tomorrow she is starting on a all-natural diet, low on carbs, and homeopathy. We'll see how she will do!

She is still very (VERY) active, but I limit our walks to 30 min maximum, with every other day allowing her to run (really RUN) on a park nearby or take longer walks. She can walk 10 min to the park, run full speed 10 more minutes (while I watch her and think 'what????') and then walk back. Her energy is amazing.

I have been following the facebook page and am very sorry about the recent losses. Hopefully everyone can find peace and strength within themselves.

Thank you, everyone!!! Will keep you posted 🙂 It is very nice to see her doing so well, even if sometimes she can get us mad with the happy-barking "why are you not playing with me?"? haha
