Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

What a handsome, handsome, very handsome boy!!! His coloring.is just stunning. And his collar is magnificent!

The.joy in Jack's eyes as he's showing that stick who's boss is priceless! I'm so glad you had that extra.time. you crammed in a lifetime of love and spoiling and fun into every single moment! And even though it was a "month" in human terms, it was many months in doggy years. But days on a calendar didn't matter ro Jack anyway. Being with his human that he adored was all that mattered.

The love you have for Jack, and the love he for you, comes shining through. Jack ALWAYS knew he could trust you to ensure he could "be Jack". When he showed you he could no.longer be Jack, he knew he could count on you to release him from his earthly body that no longer served him. It must have felt.so good as he headed to the Bridge feeling fit and healthy. And the treats that awaited.him, oh my goodness! He had special drawers full of treats just for him!!

Rich, we grieve, we grieve.hard, every single time one of our family members transitions. To leave.in such a short time adds another layer of.hurt and sadness. Because you shared all of the happiness you and Jack had, how he lived everyday to the fullest with sooo much love and joy, it brought us smiles through the tears.

You have some rough times ahead. The intensity of this journey is like no other. You have cared for Jack all his life, and these last months he has been your focus 24/7. The void will seemingly be unbearable. The loss of routine will hurt so much. The void is just awful. The waves of grief will hit you out of the blue and hit you hard. Grief has no end. It does, however, eventually get pushed further and further into the background.

Jack and you shared thousands and thousands of days of incredibly happy memories! You shared some of those with us, so we know you had plenty!! And we look forward to hearing more about those great times AND more pictures!!

It is such an honor to be on this journey with you and Jack. You two have an UNBREAKABLE bond.and will ALWAYS be connected! Jack WILL make his presence known to you! Pay attention because he will! And it will be undeniable that the sign is from Jack!

Just as privileged as you felt to have Jack in your life, he felt just as privileged to have you in his! And we are all better for having you both in our lives! Jack will ALWAYS be remembered here! His life mattered!

We'll be looking forward to more pictures and more great stories about Jack!

Surrounding you with Jack's eternal lightheart

Thank you so much Sally for expessing in words exactly how my heart is feeling right now. It's like a have a voice explaining how broken my heart is. Your words are very comforting and I look forward to him making his presence known. Rich
