Awesome news. Toby's a pretty special dog and deserves a special home.
Thanks for the update

Hello everyone! I wanted to officially let everyone know, as Crystal said, Toby is living with his "foster family" forever. He became very bonded to their young Chow mix Riley. So they decided he could just stay. He does have 6 Westie siblings and few felines to play with as well. He continues to excell at everything and plays just as 'ruff' as any dog with his buddy Riley. He can actually pin Riley down and he chews on his back leg. It is pretty comical.
Lynne (his mom) discovered Toby is terrified of Amish. So that makes me think it was an Amishman that may have hurt him. He was a stray in an area where there were many of them. But other than that, Toby has become a social butterfly with all things 2 and 4 legged.
I would like to thank everyone for their concern and encouragement! If anyone wants to add another family member I would like to suggest two WONDERFUL rescues that take on dogs that most others won't give a chance.
Woodstock Animal Foundation in KY. They take on many Tripawds and dogs with nuerological issues. They are incredible and I would highly recommend them! Even if you are not looking for a new family member, maybe you just want a way to help. You can volunteer in so many ways, and they always need donations.
The other rescue is Angel Ridge Animal Rescue in PA. They are just phenomonial. They judt took a Walker Coonhound for me that the owner wanted to euthanize at only 10 months of age. He had been run over by a van and his front elbow was broken (complete anchial fracture). He wasn't about to spend $2K on surgery and a 3 legged dog can't hunt coon. So he wanted to put him down. I said no, and asked him to sign him over. He did, and within 2 days Angel Ridge had him and his surgery was done by their Ortho Surgeon. He is now living happily with his foster mom, who is a lawyer and a board member for the rescue. They also take dogs no else will take. If they never get adopted they live happily in the doggie village.
I hope you will all consider rescuing your next pet! And if ever, anyone needs help in anyway, with anything concerning rescue please email me! It doesn't matter where you live, I am blessed to know people from everywhere. I will see if I can get some pics of Toby so you all can see how wonderful he looks and how very happy he is. Thanks again to all of you!
