Geez....lste ro the pawty again...but just in time to say YAAAAAAAAAY FOR DEPECHE!!! Clearly she is starting to get some of her sparkle back and it's still really early in recovery!
Seeing her returning to some of her routines...getting up on the sofa, spinning to make her nest in her bed...all great signs!
You clearly love your sweet Depeche and have a soul deep bond with her...and she with you! There is nothing like spoiling and loving a tripawd! Soooo much fun!
Know that ALL Depeche cares about is being by yiur side and savoring the bliss of NOW. She has NO worries a d doesn't give a rip about any ole diagnosis. Make every day count and let NOTHING rob you of your time together. Follow Depeche's lead and ake every moment the best moment ever!
I'm not a facevooker, so I hope you'll post some pics here too. Her avatar photo makes me smile 🙂
Love to all

PS...Hannah, I loved reading about your sweet Millie. You have such a loving heart
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
PS....Another Greyhound hero around here...Nixon. He beat osteo for two uears and, if I remember right, made itnto 13+ before he went to the Bridge. Search under members for OhMyNixon

Post-op day four: I was awakened early this morning by Depeche's cute little face. She got up from her bed on her own and walked over to awaken me, just as she's done for years.
I don't think she knows that she's any different than before the demonic osteosarcoma.
Shes nailed three-legged walking already.
Id heard that dogs are resilient and adjust well to this drastic change, but I never would have dreamt that she'd be doing this well. It's like everything is the same as usual, minus one bone cancer-infested leg.
We are doing just fine.
Thanks for for all the kindness.
Pathologist report will be in on Thursday. I'm holding my breath, in parlance, until then.
Thanks for the Greyt Update!

Wow, I can't believe how quickly Depeche was executing Greyhound spinnies! That may be a record.
So glad she is doing so well in terms of pain management and mobility. I know how relieved I was when my boy was no longer panting in pain post surgery. Wonderful you are in in the UPenn trial, too.

On October 27, 2016, nearly 6 months after amputation, and 18 months since his cancer likely started, we lost Pofi to a recurrence of Soft Tissue Sarcoma in his spine quite suddenly. His canine sister also succumbed to cancer on March 1, 2019 - we lavished her with our love in the interim, but life was never quite the same without her only real canine friend. Cliff kitty had to leave us, too, suddenly, in August 2019. Lucia kitty grieved all these losses, but helped us welcome two new Lurchers into our home and our lives, Shae and Barley.
What a great update! Isn't it wonderful when the do some little thing that was part of their normal routine pre amp?
Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016. Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016. Lung mets August 25, 2016. Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016. Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma.
Wherever they are, they are together.
I know you were over the moon appy to have her return to this priceless routine! 🙂 And it just gets better snd better!!
Thanks for an update thst makes us sll smile! 🙂 Yeah a Greyt update (really Admin guy?)
Hugs!
