It's nice to hear from you! Sorry that Czar is being picky about the pills. But with all the experience you have when it comes to hiding medications, I know you'll find that one thing that rocks his world, at least for a little while. Maybe once he sees the puppies snarfing up his leftovers he'll suddenly start liking that FreshPet again!
Did the vet give you any indication of when side effects could potentially happen? Just wondering.

I'll try to check in every few days. There just don't seem to be any lights coming from the tunnels right now. I'll try to get a bag of meatballs. Those usually work for a few days. I only risk the store once a week.

I had soooo mich fun scrolling thru the pictures! OMD!! The puppies have such long legs! Growing like weeds! Cannot believe how differently colored they are becoming. Stunning! Both of them are stunning!!

Yes, very different personalities. Uri, gray, is less confident than Igo. It's why the breeder paired them. Igo tries the hardest to win over Czar.
They are all so sweet together. It's so cool watching the pups grow and their interactions with Czar. He's like big papa bear ❤

We've had some nice days. Still colder than average, but hopefully not for long. Czar has been on the meds a week. We go for another xray in 3. If it's stable, we can stay on the trial. He's really warming up to the puppies. They're 3 1/2 months old, and Uri is over 40 pounds. Igo is close behind.
Ah, Czar has apparently discovered that being a big brother means the little ones are looking up to him. What a boost to his morale!
Can't believe Igo and Uri's combined weight is already as heavy as a full grown dog. Yikes they're going to be big!

Yeah, that's a lot of puppy on all those ,ong legs. Such preciois pupsinmnow you felt like Czar was "depressed" (for lack of a better word), or not happy, after Riot headed to the Bridge. Do you feel like the puppies have perked him up?

I just weighed them today. Igo is 39.4 pounds. Uri was too wiggly, but he's definitely over 40. Not any fat on them. Czar is definitely chuffed that he's top dog for once.
Yes, Czar was very sad. He had 1-3 nightmares every night. They were so bad, I had to wake him up. He's only had two in the 5 weeks I've had the puppies. He still won't walk where Riot slept. I doubt he ever will. We both miss him so much.

Just love the photos of Czar and the puppies. What a good looking pack! And yea for Czar being a big brother. I think this is exactly what he needed.
My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019. With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer. I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud! He will live forever in my Heart!
