I can't see the pictures...

Sure enough ... when I came back to this page, the images were broken again. Upon pasting the image URLs into a new browser window, they do display from the Kodak site. But not here.

I remember someone else having issues embedding kodakgallery photos. I fear they may not allow external embedding of images they host. Fascists!

I downloaded of of the images and posted it to our Tripawd Pals gallery to confirm it's not a problem with the file ...

Thanks for getting the picture up Jerry.  Is there another place you suggest to upload pics besides Kodak for posting?

Buddy had a restless night last night and had my husband up a few times in the 16 degree weather to just go outside.  At 3:30 he decided he just wanted to lay outside in the cold so my husband let him for a few mins but then had to coax him back in the house, it was too cold.  He did very well with eating last night but this morning he is just laying around, doesn't want to eat or anything.  I've read a lot about the recovery process and share what I learned with my husband but he said to me this morning... "I feel like he's mad at me"  Any thoughts on how to help him through this?  I know from reading dogs just don't care how they look as long as you love them and that's what we are doing.  I told him it's because he's still on pain medicine and not himself and if he will just give it some time he will see Buddy will be back to himself.

Thanks for all the post I hope everyone has a great weekend

Try Photobucket for uploading pics. It has worked for me in the past, although I haven't tried it on the new site.  I will enclose a picture of Tazzie to test it out…

Calamity did this many times in the first week or so of her recovery. She would go out & just lay in the grass or stand at the gate. I have read this action in a few other dog's progress reports, so I have to day this is normal behavior, don't know why they do it either. I also wrote about it in her blog.

Being the winter, this has to be bad. Just be the alpha and give him a few minutes out (based on the temp) and make him come back in.

I felt like Calamity was mad at me too, but I really doubt she could ever feel that emotion.

It really sounds like things are as they should be, just hang in there & take it one day at a time!

I saw the Buddy picture you posted, it was Tazzie's photo. I see it now after whatever you did last night.

Hello everyone, just wanted to post a quick update.  Monday was 1 week since surgery and Buddy had to go back to the Dr for a bandage change.  The Dr said everything looked great! We have to take him back on Friday to get the staples out and then wait for the results to come back to get started with Chemo.  He is progressing everyday and is still resting most of the time.  I think or hope that is because he is still on the Pain Medicine of which we are going to stop giving him.  He doesn't seem to be in any pain and the Dr. said we could stop and see how he did.

Here in NC, we got about 6inches of snow yesterday and Buddy has always loved snow.  He went out in it yesterday and it was like the old Buddy came back for a while.  He was barking, jumping, eating the snow and even buried his head down in it!  He was so much fun but it tired him out.  I'm going to post some pictures of him, he's such a funny dog.

I was wondering if anyone had a doggie door before surgery and if the dog learned to use it after surgery?  We don't let him go through it yet but he will stick his head through it and we know he is ready to go out or come in.  We also received the RuffWear Harness today and I'm excited to see him in it but will wait until the Dr appt on Friday and ask him when he thinks it will be ok to let him wear it. We hope everyone is doing good and everyone is always in our thoughts!  I hope the pictures come through, someone suggested Photobucket so I'm going to try that this time:

Oh yea I guess I should have told everyone that Buddy had a Tumor on his tail that had to be removed.  They tell us that its very uncommon for a tumor to be on the tail and everytime a Dr ask about it they look at us like we are crazy! They took the tumor off and tried to keep the tail but b/c it was so big the stitches killed the bottom of the tail and in the end they had to take it.  I can't remember what the tumor was called at the moment but it wasn't cancerous and they tell us that has nothing to do with the current Osteosarcoma.  Buddy has been through alot the last couple of years but we are hoping for a speedy recovery this time like last! We love his nub and everyone that see's it thinks its the cutest! haLaugh
